Thank you Mr. Anderson, for making us read this book.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Montag who lived far, far away with his wife Mildred.

Montag was a firefighter for a living. However, instead of putting out fires, they made fires with books, which were illegal.

One day when Montag was walking he noticed a girl walking. Her name was Clarisse. She asked him many crazy questions, questions he hasn't even heard of, never even thought of. She made him look at life differently. He really liked her.

Montag got home after talking with his new friend Clarisse, and noticed his wife wasn't feeling too well. He went to sit next to her and he realized the cookie jar was empty.

Mildred had ate too many cookies! So the doctor came over and helped her by flushing out her stomach with some nice vegetables.

Wow, I feel so much better!

After Mildred was feeling better, Montag went to work. Everyday after work Clarisse would walk home with Montag, but this day, she was no where to be found.

Since Clarisse was missing, Montag thinks about the questions she would've asked him. Like, Did firemen ever prevent fires? He really missed her, but he had to continue his life without her.

I wonder where Clarisse is...
Montag arrives at work, still sad about Clarisse, but he had a job to do. The fire alarm went of to inform the firemen that they had a case!

Montag and the other firemen were on the case to burn some books. They arrived at the scene of an older lady's house.

What is going on here!

The crew runs inside, and as Montag is trailing behind, a book falls from the top floor, and without thinking, he shoves it in his coat sleeve.

The woman in the house loved her books and she didn't want them to leave. So she stayed with the books while the firemen burned them.

After doing his job, Montag goes back home. On the way he didn't see Carisse. He was very worried, so when he got home he asked his wife is she's heard anything about her. Mildred said Clarisse and her family had moved. Montag was very sad.

Where is she!
After finding out that Clarisse moved Montag learned that he has to move on. He took the book out of his sleeve, and hides the it under his pillow and goes to sleep.

Montag woke up the next morning feeling very sick. He was very worried about the case he had to go to the night before. He went to his wife for comfort, but she wasn't in the mood.

Not now Montag.

I don't feel well.
After the couple's little argument, Montag's boss, Captain Beatty, stopped by to talk to Montag since he's sick, and he feels very sad.

Goodmorning everyone!

Captain Beatty tried telling Montag to come back to work, and even after everything they've been through, he will always be there for him.

Come back!

Not sure yet.
Mildred got very bored while Montag and Captain Beatty were talking so she started to clean. She lifted Montag's pillow up and found a book! She knew they were not allowed so she tried to get Captain Beatty's attention to show him, but he kept talking.

LOOK!

SHH!
After a good talk, Captain Beatty leaves and it's just Montag and Mildred. Mildred and Montag start talking and that's when Montag tells his wife he doesn't want to be a firefighter anymore.

I don't want to be a firefighter anymore..

WHAT?!
After Montag breaks the news to his wife, he has even more bad news. He shows her a stack of books hidden in the vents!

They're in there
She tries to burn them and get rid of them all, but Montag says she can't and she needs to help him. She says she will help him, but only for 2 days. So Montag takes her offer and he starts reading one of the books.

Don't burn these!
Fine..
Montag and Mildred read all day, and find many new things that they never knew before. After reading for awhile Montag feels that he can't learn anymore things, so he decided he needed some help.

I need some help..
Montag takes a trip to the park to try to find an old english teacher, Faber, to help him understand more about the books.

Im Faber.
Montag found Faber sitting on a park bench, reading what looked like a book. Once Montag sat next to him, Faber tried to hide the book so Montag wouldn't burn it, but Montag told him he was a nice guy and all he wanted to do was talk.

Don't worry, I'm nice.
Once Montag got home he reaches for the phone to call Faber. He dials the number and tries asking the teacher how many books he thinks are left in the world. Faber feels very trapped and not safe, so he said no books were left and hung up the phone.

He hung up!
The next morning Montag wakes up, and Mildred tells him she's having some friends over. That means Montag can leave, and go to Faber's house to discuss books.

My friends are coming over today!
Before leaving Montag tries finding the book he took from the older lady's house that he burnt down with his firemen. He finds it, and considers making a duplicate of it, because it might be the last one in the world.

I might copy this book..

Montag leaves with the book and takes a train to Faber's house. He tries to memorize some words while on the ride but a commercial that was very distracting kept messing him up. He got very frustrated at the radio and yelled at it, waving his book back and forth in front of all the passengers on the bus!

Turn that radio off!!
Call the guards!
They say saw the book and knew it was illegal. They started to call a guard, but Montag got off the bus at the next stop.

I have to get out of here!
Montag gets to Faber's house and shows him the book he's holding. Faber lets him in and they discuss what the meaning of books are, and why they're so different from TV and the surrounding world. Montag is in love with the idea of books!

Welcome!
Faber tells Montag that there is a huge party coming to the city, and once it comes TV may be gone forever. So Montag thinks they can use that to bring the books back in everyday life.

The party is coming.
Later that night, Montag and Faber make a plan. Montag is going to duplicate the special book! Faber is going to help out by using a special printer. Montag will then risk giving the copied book to his boss, Captain Beatty.

Let's make another book!
Montag arrives home to Mildred, and her two friends. He tries to talk to them all but they ignore him. So he took out a book and started reading!

One of Mildred's friends, Mrs. Bowles, got very upset because of the book, and left. Once she left so did Mildreds other friend. They could not be in the same home with an illegal book!

I'm leaving!!

Bye!
Mildred gets upset and goes back into her bedroom. Montag then discovers that Mildred has been burning the books secretly one by one!

Have you been burning my books!
Yes..
Montag is very upset with Mildred for not trusting him about the books. He gets over it though, because now he has to go back to work, and give that book to Captain Beatty.
