Now I did say enough with the chit-chat? Silly me! Allow me to introduce to you what all great magicians abide to; the magician's oath. There are only a few GOOD magicians that don't follow these SIMPLE instructions. Now I know you are a GREAT magician and will read this, put your initials each statement, sign your name to make this book your own and start learning!
The Magic Numbers Trick
Effect: The magician displays a couple cards with several numbers on them. They ask the spectator to pick any one of the cards containing their own secret number. The magician then asks the spectator on what cards do their number repeat. Amazingly, the magician correctly announces the chosen number!

Explanation: Pay special attention only to the left top corner of all the cards! Everything else doesn't really matter! Simple addition of the top corners will give you the answer!
For example, if they told you their number were shown in boxes B, C & E then you add up those numbers in the left top corner. (2+3+9)= 14. So their number is 14!

Pro Tips: Practice adding up the numbers in your head to impress your audience more.
Double check with them if they chose the right boxes with their number. If they are wrong, then so will you be!

Copy with your printer and cut these out for your performance!

After you have practiced enough, move on to a more large scale version!
Sneaky Six Card Switch-A-Roo
Effect: Magician Fans out a couple cards to the spectator, they ask them to focus on one card and only one and to commit that card to memory. The magician then tells the spectator that he will now take out their chosen card without being told beforehand. The magician then brings the cards back into view and the spectator checks and confirms that chosen card has vanished from the fan of cards!

Explanation: Well here's where magicians have a chance to become clever than most. I trust you will be able to figure it out with only the two pictures I have provided for you! I've done it before, so I believe in you! Good Luck!

****Hint: Look at the name of the trick. SWITCH-a-roo???
Memorized Deck
Effect: After thoroughly analyzing the deck, a card is chosen and cut multiple times. With amazing precision, the magician feels where the card may be after flipping over each card. The magician then makes a bet with the spectator after he clearly messed up in eyes of the spectator. The spectator surely accepts the bet, confident that he will win. The magic then performs the unexpected and selects the correct card!
The method used here is the key card principle. It is simply having a selected card returned to the deck below a known (to the magician) key card. Of course, the spectators should be unaware that you are using a key card, and it should not be obvious to them. This is very versatile tool, and can be used in an infinite number of ways. Keep in mind that there is more than one way to use the same principle to achieve different effects. In this effect, you secretly glimpse at the bottom card when you say that you are "memorizing the deck' (you're not really memorizing the deck, that would take wayyyy too long!). You look through all the cards, still keeping in mind of the bottom card (key card). Allow them to select a card with all of them facing down. Now this is the important part! Have them place their selected card on top of the deck. Next, allow them to CUT the deck. When I say this, I don't mean physically cut the deck! Instruct them to lift up a portion of the cards and
have them leave it aside and complete the cut by putting the bottom portion of cards (containing the bottom key card) on top of the top portion that they just lifted off. This places their selected card directly below your known key card. (Let's say this key card is the seven of hearts). They can do this as many times as they would like as this will not disturb the order of the cards. After the spectator is satisfied with cutting the deck. Go through each card one by one looking at the face of each one and putting it in a loose pile all face up. After you lift up the seven of hearts (the key card) then you know that the next card will be their selected card. After you see their card, put it down casually in the pile, but keep it in view to use later and continue dealing the rest of the cards see the face of each one ( you may deal these cards faster
