Every person in Ancient Egypt had a special role.
By using a social class pyramid, they kept things under control.
Not everyone person thought that the pyramid was fair,
But for one to argue with the law, was indeed quite rare.
The kings- known as pharoahs, were at the pyramid’s top.
They ruled with great power, and put outlaws to a stop.
There were a lot of pharoahs in Egypt; that's a fact. There were 170 to be exact.
Pharoahs had power above all,
The main people that any power would befall.
The egyptain viziers are next on the list, without them, today’s life just might not exist.
They were in charge of life everday, and the collection of taxes that people had to pay.
The viziers also led building projects. Including the pyramids, which were quite complex.
One more step down the pyramid, and you'll find all the priests.
They weren't as powerful as the pharoahs, but they were noble at least.
The job of the priest was to take care of the gods, as you will soon learn.
Religion involving other people was none of their concern.
Writers in Egypt were also known as scribes, and they were quite a well respected tribe.
As the only ones who could read and write, scribes were considered very bright.
They kept record of many important things, the reason people today know so much about their kings.
