This is Slaggy the Alligator and he loves to eat!

Slaggy woke up in the morning and went to look for food.

Slaggy was looking for the most food he could find.

First, Slaggy's mother made him breakfast. He could have 6 pieces of bacon or 3 eggs. Slaggy ate the 6 pieces of bacon because there was more bacon than eggs.

Then, Slaggy went outside to the garden. He found 14 carrots and 18 cucumbers. Slaggy ate the 18 cucumbers because there were more cucumbers than carrots.

Next, Slaggy walked to the river. He saw 7 fish and 6 snails. Slaggy ate the 7 fish because there were more fish than snails.

Slaggy then walked into town to his favorite restaurant. He could order 2 hamburgers or 9 steaks. Slaggy ordered the 9 steaks because there were more steaks than hamburgers.

Slaggy was hungry for dessert, so he stopped at an ice cream shop. He could have 3 scoops of ice cream or 2 scoops of ice cream. Slaggy chose the 3 scoops of ice cream because there were more scoops than the other cone had.

On his way home, Slaggy stopped at a fair. He saw that he could have 13 hot dogs or 10 buckets of popcorn. Slaggy chose the 13 hot dogs because there were more hot dogs than buckets of popcorn.

By the time Slaggy got home, he noticed he was getting heavier and heavier and he didn't know what to do.

Instead of eating more food, what could Slaggy do?

Slaggy went to bed that night and decided he would start eating less the next day.
