Fear, worry, and tension. those 3 feelings alone are what made up that fateful day. going to bed last night and feeling calm only feels as if a distant memory or dream, that world, where at least I felt safe, no longer feels as if it was ever even real. Waking up at midnight, half pass twelve, i hadn't a clue just what was going to happen soon enough. The air felt strange, indescribable, something, just something, felt off . I awoke to shouting and confusion. 'Still dark outside' i thought to myself as i sleepily awoke. My mother came in, teary eyed, with something else there, i saw something else in her eyes. Something i could only describe as fear as i heard the yelling that meant everything would soon change, who knows for the better or worse. "Noise!” said he, “you’ll have noise enough before long. The regulars are coming out.”

My father had already gone as my mother had told me. Paul revere i figured out of whom the yellers' voice belonged to, i had heard of him before. Now he was yelling throughout my town of danger, i wasn't sure what to think, and my father had already left us to prepare to for the upcoming battle. Would i ever see my father alive again? I wasn't sure. It would be dawn soon, the time expected for the battle to finally take place. to determine who lives, who dies, and what the fate of our young country shall be.

everything about this day had felt off, in just a few hours, everything will really change. Freedom, freedom, freedom. Is it truly going to be worth the cost of so many injuries and even.. lives? Screams, crying, tears, so many tears will be shed, so much pain will be given, is it truly worth this country's freedom? I wasn't sure. I wouldn't dare say a word however, as i did not want to express such a thought of what could be, perhaps, doubt? in a mere few hours, everything will truly change, and at this moment i couldn't be sure if this will really be for better, or for worse.

Dawn was coming close now, i could see the people out there preparing for battle, aligning themselves, i could see many people i recognized. You see, whilst England had actual trained soldiers on their side, for us, it was simply local people, minutemen, fighting for what they believed in. No training, no expensive weapons, simply what we had already had, and they were going to fight with it. However since these were all people of whom I recognized, there was going to be tears no matter what. many injuries and possible deaths will occur because of this fight for so called freedom, and i sit here wondering what will happen to those i care so dearly about, and I sit, staring, I see my father down there, i feel water on my face, and i pray that ill be able to speak to him once more.
