At the age of 13, in 1848, Carnegie came to the United States with his family. They settled in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, and Carnegie went to work in a factory, earning $1.20 a week. The next year he found a job as a telegraph messenger. Hoping to advance his career, he moved up to a telegraph operator position in 1851. He then took a job at the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1853. He worked as the assistant and telegrapher to Thomas Scott, one of the railroad's top officials. Through this experience, he learned about the railroad industry and about business in general. Three years later, Carnegie was promoted to superintendent.
When Andrew Carnegie had enough money he made some very smart investments that made him very wealthy. And when he had enough money he could then try to mass produce steel. When he first started to create steel he had little competition so it was like a monopoly,

The U.S was growing rapidly and we needed more space for buildings and when Andrew Carnegie came and made steel, the U.S could now build to the sky's. and cause the supple was so low the and the demand was so high he made a fortune.
when Carnegie first tried to mass produce steel it was a big risk because it could have gone very wrong and ended up with hundreds of fatalities if it didn't work. also if did not work Andrew Carnegie would lose millions of dollars. But seance it was a big success Carnegie then had a Oligopoly economy.
the inventors need proof that this material could be mass produced. So he showed them how it worked and it was a big success. The people that invested or bought stocks were J.P Morgan, Thomas graham, Elbert Henry grey, and Charles m. Schwab and they invested millions of dollars all together for Carnegie steel.
cause of this innovation the effect was the U.S was able to build skyscrapers so the U.S would not have to expand out. And it was also big for making vehicles like mass producing cars, train tracks, and making trains.
a short term effect was the mass production of the model T and the train/train tracks. but with the production of steel the model T was not just for the rich it could now be for the middle class. And this lead to people not having to live close to work or taking a long time to get to a destination
a long term effect was the building of skyscrapers and bridges. With the making of skyscrapers we could manage space so we wouldn't run out of space
