This story is dedicated to the Amazon Rainforest, and everyone working to save it.

Deep in South America, there's a mysterious terrain called the Amazon Rainforest. The rainforest is filled with millions and millions of plants and animals.
In the Amazon Rainforest, among the millions of animals there is a monkey named Bo and his friend Ana the ocelot. They are very different animals, but they are best friends!
Bo and Ana loved their home in the Amazon Rainforest. Nowhere else in the world could two animals who are so different be friends!
They like to do different things, but they love talking to each other at the end of the day and sharing what they did during the day.

This is what Ana looks like in the wild. Ocelots travel about 5 miles when they hunt at night. They are very small for wild cats. They are about twice the size of a normal house cat.
Ana is an ocelot, which is a type of wild cat. She is mostly nocturnal and does her hunting at night. Her territory where she hunts can be as large as about 45 square miles!
Bo usually stays up in the trees, and Ana usually stays on the ground. Even though they live very different lives, they are still friends!
Bo hangs down from low branches with his tail to talk to Ana. His tail is really strong, so it holds him up.

This is Bo in the wild. He is a special species of monkey called a Spider Monkey. He lives mostly up in the trees. Like Ana, Bo is a very small species of monkey. The average spider monkey only weighs about 13 pounds!

One morning, Ana stopped by Bo's tree. He dropped down and said, "Ana! How's it hanging?"
"Not too good, Bo. I was on my hunt, and I saw some people cutting down trees a few miles away. This is the second time this month I've seen it!!" Ana said worriedly.
"But why would anyone do that?" questioned Bo, "It doesn't seem fair that they're tearing down our home."
"It's called deforestation. It's when people tear down parts of the rainforest so farming or land or resources," Ana informed Bo.
Bo jumped down from his tree because he was so upset. He looked at Ana and said, "Are they going to come tear down our part of the rainforest?"
"I'm not sure. I really hope not Bo. I like where we live. It wouldn't be fun if we had to move." Ana said, sounding defeated.
"What can we do to help?" asked Bo, "I love my tree! I don't want to have to move."
