Momo the Monkey was the coolest kid in town,

He never had any real reason to frown.

But Momo's life would never be the same,

When Ellie the Elephant one day came.

Ellie was big and kind when she came to town,

but she was the only elephant that was around.

Since she was so different, nobody liked her,

and Momo with his brother was meaner than ever.

To pick teams for kickball at recess, she would stand in line

But both team captains said,

"I don't want her on mine!"

Ellie tried to be friends with Momo on the way home from school,

But Momo and his brother just thought they were too cool.

As time went on and Winter came round,

Snow and ice began to cover the ground.

On the way home from school, Momo still wasn't nice,

until one fateful day when Ellie slipped on the ice.
