Bob's parents have lots of cars.   They have 

big cars, small cars, red cars, blue cars, new 

cars, old cars, fast cars, slow cars, light cars, 

heavy cars, trucks, tractors, and more.

But Bob is not supposed to drive any of them.

One morning, his parents left to go to a totally 

groovy rich people party.   They decided to take 

their centaur instead of a car, leaving Bob 

alone with all of the vehicles!

He had never driven a car before.   He wanted 

to give it a try.   He was sure he'd be good at 

it.

Bob went into his parents' garage (which looks 

unusually similar to a building under 

construction), and, on the bottom level, found 

their sports car.

It was fast and light, weighing 1,000 pounds, 

just what Bob wanted.   He found the key and 

got ready to go for a drive.

He drove downtown.

And then down by the ocean.   He was starting 

to get a feel for his car.

He started to brake just as his car approached a 

convenient brown line on the ground, when his 

car was going 10 miles per hour.

And came to a stop right in front of a building.

Bob had fun in the sports car, but he got bored 

of it after a while.   Now he wanted to try 

something bigger and heavier.

He found his parents' dump truck, which 

weighed 10,000 pounds, and decided to take it 

for a spin.

He drove downtown.

And then by the ocean.

He started to brake just as his car approached 

the convenient brown line on the ground, when 

his truck was going 10 miles per hour.

If it worked last time, surely it would work this 

time, he thought.
