Paul and his family decided to go on vacation. He had just gotten out of school for the summer.

They were headed for their local lake, they were on their way to see Paul's grandparents too who lived near the lake.

As they were driving on the roads. Paul started to notice many factories. Factories which led out lots of smoke into the air around them.

"These factories are releasing too much chemicals into the air." Paul said. Paul's dad nodded. "Yes, I'll be showing you one of the reasons why were here. Take notice of everything you see from now on as we drive to the lake." his dad said.

An hour into the drive, it suddenly started to pour down rain and it was starting to get a bit windy too.

As the family continued to drive, Paul would look into his side of the window to see lots of trees that seem to have been damaged.

The rain didn't last too long though as the rain began to settle down. The family decided to go ahead and stop by the lake before heading for the grandparents house.

They would walk out of there car to stretch and such. Paul notice the changes in the lake and everything around it. It looked very different from their last visit. But it was a bad different, the ecosystem didn't look as good as it did last year.
