i dedicate this book to Linda for helping the seal with the water

Linda was walking along the beach one day and she saw a seal come up from the water and get out of the ocean.
Linda went over to the seal to talk to it. when she got there the seal looked sad. The seal said "The water is getting warmer and i don't know why." When linda heard this she wanted to do research.
Linda went home and did research and she learned that the reason the water was getting warmer was because of thermal pollution. she learned thermal pollution is the degradation of water quality by any process that changes ambient water temperature.
She also learned that thermal pollution is most common in central-east united states and Europe. The top 11 polluting stations are in Europe.
Linda wanted to keep researching and found that humans cause thermal pollution by using cold water from oceans and rivers to run power plants.
After searching all the information she needed she decided to help stop thermal pollution wear the seal lived so she went and talked to the power plant owners and told them to build a cooling tower which would cool the water without polluting it.
After everything was built Linda went to talk to the seal. when she got there the seal looked so happy while she was swimming around. The seal came up to her and said "Thank you for helping me!! The water is so much better now."
