The Silly Snow Leopard
by
Mr. Kim
Once upon a time, high up in the mountains, there was a snow leopard named Sasha. Now, Sasha was always running across the barren mountains trying to catch butterflies, fireflies, deer flies, dragonflies, and even horse-flies and gadflies. Sasha would even run down to the dusty fields at the foot of the mountains to look for butterflies, fireflies and horse-flies.

But in all Sasha's short life, not one single fly had ever been caught.

One day, just at sunrise, Sasha searched in a huge cave. Sasha hoped to find a sleeping fly. Sasha searched in every direction. Sasha looked everywhere, but in vain. Sasha failed to find even one fly. At last, Sasha got tired and gave up. Sasha left the cave empty-handed. (Or should we say, "empty-pawed"?)

When Sasha came out of the cave, the sun was gone! In the east, there was only a dull orange ball. Sasha was anxious. Sasha was very, very anxious. Sasha was very, very, very anxious. Sasha had never seen the sun disappear except at night.
