Engineering
The following are the two most famous results of Roman engineering.
Roads- Roads were very important for the armies, resources, and wealth of Rome. Even though the environment around the roads were rough, the roads were built to last long. They were built using concrete and had a hump to keep water from flooding.
The Colosseum- This is possibly one of the most famous buildings in Rome. It was a large outdoor stadium using arches to keep it strong, even by today’s standards. A large chunk of the stadium has broken due to earthquakes, however a surprising amount still stands.

Expansion from Monarchy to Republic to Empire
Monarchy to Republic- Many people of Rome wanted many different things for the government, this led to an expulsion of a political revolution and killed Lucious Tarquinius Supenbus-509 BC
Republic to Empire- Julius Ceasar has been assassinated,The people of Rome hoped the republic could still go on but instead a Civil war happened (27BC to 476 AD)

Collapse of Roman Empire
In 476 AD, a Germanic barbarian by the name of Odoacer took control of Rome. He soon became king of Italy and forced the last emperor of Rome, Romulus Augustulus, to give up his crown. Many historians believe this was the end of the Roman Empire. After the fall of Rome, many changes occurred throughout Europe. Rome had given a strong government, education, and culture to Ancient Europe. Soon much of Europe fell into barbarianism. The next 500 years would be known as the Dark Ages of Europe.

Justinian Code
The Code of Justinian, also known as Latin Codex Justinianus, and formally Corpus Juris Civilis (meaning “Body of Civil Law”), were the laws and legal codes made by the Byzantine emperor Justinian I from 529 to 565 CE.
The works did not constitute a new legal code, but Justinian’s committees of jurists provided basically two reference works containing collections of past laws and extracts of the opinions of the great Roman jurists.
