    In a kingdom on the outskirts of Greece lived a teenage girl named Medeia 

who wanted nothing more than to be famous! Once a month she would travel to 

the sacred oracle hoping that the reading would portray a life of romance and 

riches! But each time she went there, she got the same fortune... "An important 

piece will be missing from your life, the missing piece will be ripped away without 

any compassion."

While returning from the Oracle one day, after another horrible reading Medeia 

stumbled upon a little man promising riches and happiness to anyone who 

could give him a hot meal. Medeia was a little curious about the little man and 

how he was able to perform such unusual magic, so she approached him. 

"Looking for love are we little girl?" Questioned the little man.

"Actually, my only dream in life is to become famous! Replied Medeia. "I want everyone to 

know my name! 

"Well, the price to become a celebrity is a little more expensive than becoming rich or happy. 

But I am able to perform such magic." Said the small man.

"Oh my! I will give you anything! Anything!" Shouted Medeia. "As long as you promise to give 

me the fame I desire!"

"I think we have reached an agreement! Meet me back here at 11:00 tonight to settle all of the 

details." Stated the man.

"Wait!" Said Medeia. "I haven't even gotten your name!"

"My name is Rumpelstiltskin. See you at 11 O'clock." And with that the little man was gone.

 Medeia was very nervous about going to meet Rumpelstiltskin later that evening. 

She wasn't sure if this was the right way to achieve fame. Finally, 10:30 rolled around 

and if she wanted to be on time for her meeting she would have to leave now. In a split 

second decision she grabbed her coat and crept out through the back door, running off to 

meet the man that could change her life forever. 

When she arrived at the place they met earlier, Rumpelstiltskin was there waiting with 

a pen and paper in hand. 

"What's the paper and pen for?" Asked Medeia, she was already on edge and wasn't 

prepared to have her decisions made permanent by a contract.

"Oh this silly thing?" Replied Rumpelstiltskin as he waved around the piece of paper 

as though it was just an old coupon. "This is just a contract saying that I didn't force 

you into this deal, and that you made this decision of your own accord."

"Oh okay." Medeia responded. "Now, according to what we mentioned earlier you 

said you could make me famous overnight. I said that I would give you anything you 

wanted in return."

"Well, I have already thought of something that would suit me quite nicely. I can 

give you the life you have always dreamed of; riches, fame, love, and happiness. In 

return, all you must promise me is that if you have a child you are to give it to me. So 

simply, I would like your first born child. Really, this could back fire on me because you might 

not even have a child. This is truly an excellent deal for you."

"I guess your right, I don't even plan on having kids." Stated Medeia. "Frankly, I hate 

children. So having a child would be the thing farthest from my mind. I guess that means I'll 

sign on the dotted line. You give me fame and I'll give you my first born... if I even have kids." 

"Alright, that settles it! Tomorrow morning when you wake up you will have the ability 

that no one else can ever possess! You will have the powers to spin straw into gold!" 

Exclaimed Rumpelstiltskin. "I shall return for what is mine in the future. Until we meet again 

Medeia."

The King from the kingdom of Farquath has requested

a meeting with the beautiful Medeia. He is eager to

meet the fair lady and if all goes well, he would 

be prepared to ask her hand in marriage. He 

requests the meeting for tomorrow at noon, where

a meal of fine fruits and vegetables will be provided.

If you agree to meet him, a horse and carriage will arrive 

at your door tomorrow morning at sunrise. It is a long 

ride to the kingdom so be ready for when we arrive. 

Days pass and the word of Medeias new powers have spread to the neighboring villages and 

kingdoms. People from near and far came to see her work her magnificent magic and were eager 

to benefit from her new powers. One day, while she was sitting at home spinning straw into gold 

she heard a knock on the door. She wasn't expecting any visitors so she looked out the front 

window and saw a small entourage of people dressed in expensive clothing. 

Curious, she opened up the front door and was greeted with a man reading from a scroll. 

The King from the kingdom of Farquath has requested

a meeting with the beautiful Medeia. He is eager to
