is for achievement
All students have gifts, talents, and strengths that they can use to achieve success and become contributing members of society.

is for benefit
As teachers we need to provide learning styles that fit our students so that they may benefit from our instruction.

is for challenges

Many of our students come with challenges that can make learning difficult. It is our job as educators to find ways in which these students can shine.

is for difficulties

Challenges create difficulties. Students can overcome them with appropriate accommodations, scaffolding, and support to help them achieve success.

is for equity

Equity is all about achievement, fairness, and equal opportunity for learning. All students deserve an equal chance at learning and success.

is for fair

Fairness has everything to do with equal opportunity for learning. It is only fair that each of our students are given every opportunity to achieve success in school and in life.

is for gender

Each of our students should have equal opportunities to participate in whatever area they want to explore, regardless of of society's gender role assignments.

is for higher education

Higher education plays an important role in preparing students for employment. Including race and gender equality in the classroom sets a precedent that will help to influence all students to continue on to higher education.
is for inclusion

No one is an island. An inclusive environment helps students not only learn, but learn how to work with others.

is for justice

Each of our classrooms should be places where our class rules are blind to skin color, gender, socioeconomic class, and disability. All students should feel safe and valued equally.

is for kindness

If there is ever a time when you're not sure how to treat another student who is different from you, kindness is the key. Just be kind.

Each of our students come with differing strengths and weaknesses. Students may learn visually, auditory, or hands-on. As educators we need to provide a variety of vehicles for learning.
is for learning styles

is for money

Each of our students will come from different socioeconomic backgrounds. We need to be sensitive to this and structure our class so that no student is unable to participate fully because of lack of funds or technology.

is for natural gifts

Each of our students, no matter how challenged they are, have natural gifts. It is our job as teachers to search for those gifts and find ways to implement them in the classroom.

is for opportunity

It is important to give our students opportunities to learn in a variety of ways. By doing this, our students will find more opportunities in their careers and private lives to soar to new heights.

is for participation

Participation is made possible due to digital equity, giving students who might otherwise be challenged or unable to complete tasks, a variety of vehicles for learning. By doing this, we facilitate participation and learning opportunities for all our students.
