HAVE A GREAT DAY

While Rufus was going on many adventures the Cornelii prepare to go to Rome. In preparation for Rome Cornelia must say goodbye to her friend Flavia. After the Corenlii depart Davus takes over the estate and under his supervision a slave named Geta escapes. Eventually, however, they capture Geta who is was hiding in a tree.

What the Cornelii did...

“Why am I always working?” Rufus thought to himself, “ I want a book! I want to go to Rome! I want to sleep late! I want to see the Colosseum and Circus Maximus!

Perhaps I will meet the beautiful girls!  And have a good time!

We are going to eat bread and drink all the wine. Perhaps, when the moon appears, we will kiss.

It is not yet light. Cornelia stealthily got up and walked in the house. No one watches her. No one except Rufus who is already working in the field.

While Cornelia and Flavia walk through the field, Rufus stealthily walks after them. Rufus got down from a tree, quickly went across the field, and jumped to a tree. Cornelia and Flavia didn’t see him.

Cornelia stabs the haystack with the pitchfork. Rufus tries to move, but it was in vain, the pitchfork pierced him. Rufus, however, didn’t shout. The big rake hurt Sextus. Soon, Flavia and Cornelia depart. They didn’t hear Rufus crying. 

While the Cornelians prepare for Rome, Rufus prepares to flee.

“I not avoid the good slaves,” Rufus thought. “It is necessary for me to flee.”

The carriage is prepared, they are all prepared, when suddenly Aurelia yells, “Sextus, your tunic is dirty! Where is your clean one? You need to find the clean one!” 

Sextus walks to the room. Sextus thinks to himself, “Where is my tunic?” Rufus thinks to himself, “I can whitewash two walls with one bucket.” There he grabs the neighboring lamp and yells,” What are you doing, Sextus!”
