Gavin and Christian are outside playing with their dogs Fiona and Thor. The boy playing with the toy truck is Gavin and he is older than Christian.

Christian and Gavin went to the supermarket to buy some snacks when a group of kids the same age started to make fun of Gavin. This upset his brother Christian.

Gavin is considered special needs. He might be older than Chrisitan physically but Christian is older mentally.

Christian defended his brother and told those other kids to leave him alone. He knew Gavin could not defend himself. He knew those other kids were wrong for what they did.

When Gavin was younger he got very sick and was in the hospital for a very longtime. This caused him to have delays in his thinking and speech. He can say the alphabet and knows right from wrong. Gavin can express his needs and wants, but Gavin does not know how to do math or read books. He is 8 years old but thinks like he is 4 years old.
