Critical Thinking in Physical Education

Critical thinking is the analysis of facts to form a judgment.

Capture the Flag

Ball In The Bucket

Doctor Dodgeball

Students will need to figure out different strategies in order to get the other teams flag without being caught

Students need to come up with a plan to get get a ball in a bucket with only four moves.

Students must figure out who the other teams doctor is and try to get them out so no one can be healed

Communication in Physical Education

Communication is the act of conveying meanings from one entity or group to another through the use of mutually understood signs, symbols, and semiotic rules.

Students will need to be able to communicate towards each other during any game played

Teachers need to communicate to the students when playing new games or giving out rules

There needs to be communication between teacher and parent when talking about assignments or grades

Collaboration in Physical Education

Collaboration is the process of two or more people or organizations working together to complete a task or achieve a goal.

Treasure Race

Students work together to get across the gym using cones, mats, scooter, etc. without touching the floor.

Team Building

Have the students work together to come up with teams and team names for a game.

Fitness Plans

Have the students work together in class on making their own physical fitness plans

Creativity in Physical Education

Creativity is a your imagination on whereby something new and somehow valuable is formed.

Use hula hoops as targets for frisbee golf

Use traffic cones as boundary line and goals for soccer

Use cutouts of different NFL teams to split students up into groups
