It was a typical day of Iyla and Mommy running errands, when Iyla randomly asked,

Mommy,

Am I still a Big Sister... even when we don't have our baby?

Iyla's little sister, Freya, died in their Mommy's tummy. Instead of living with Iyla in her family's house, Freya lives in Heaven.

Mommy took a deep breath and tried to be strong as she answered,

Absolutely! You are always a Big Sister. Freya is always your little sister.

Will I be a Big Sister when I'm a grown-up like you?

Yes! Even when you are old and have gray hair, Freya will still be your sister.

When I die, will I still be a big sister?

Yes, and, when you die and get to Heaven, you will get to see your sister and hug her, talk with her, and play everything you wanted to do with her here, but couldn't. 

Remember, there is no sadness or badness or tears in Heaven, only happy times!

Iyla smiled. She can't wait to play with her little sister. But, it's so hard to wait and she wants to do Big Sister things now. Mommy and Iyla decided to make a list of all the things she can do to show Freya her Big Sister love on Earth.

*Big sisters are loving and kind.

Iyla can show her love by being kind to others in memory of Freya. She can do Random Acts of Kindness!
