Once upon a time in the city of Pleasantville there lived a girl named Charlotte. It was two days until Christmas and Charlotte was really excited because it was one of her favorite holidays.

"So are you excited for Christmas"? Charlotte asked her friend Courtney as they were getting ready to head home after school.

"I guess so"? 

"Courtney are you ok you seem down"? asked Charlotte concerned 

"Ya I'm ok it's just that my mom was recently laid off from work so we can't really afford Christmas this year". explained Courtney.

"I'm sorry to hear that Courtney". replied Charlotte sympathetically.

 "It's ok I just would have liked to give Kristy a nice Christmas since it's her first one". replied Courtney sadly.

By the time Charlotte got home from school she had already come up with a great plan  to help Courtney.

"Hi mom I'm home".

"Hi sweetie how was your day".

"It was good but can I ask you something"?

"Sure sweetie what's up"?

"Well at school today I found out that Courtney's mom was laid off from work so they can't afford Christmas this year and since this is her sister's first Christmas I was wondering if it would be ok for me to make a small Christmas for them". explained Charlotte.

"Of course sweetie that's a wonderful idea what did you have in mind"? asked her mom.

Well I was thinking that I could get Courtney and her sister some presents with my allowance and maybe we could cook them a nice dinner together".

"Sounds good sweetie let's get started.

So while  Charlotte' mother went to the store to get all the things to make Christmas dinner for Courtney's family Charlotte went o the toy store to get some presents for Courtney and her sister. 

On the way home they stopped at a Christmas tree lot to pick up a tree for Courtney's family.

Finally after two days of preparation's everything was ready to be delivered to Courtney's family so early Christmas morning they packed everything in the car and headed off to Courtney's house.
