It was August first and Sally's first day of school ever! Sally was so excited! But her mom was very nervous. 

Sally's mom drove her to school. She was sad because her baby was growing up. She loved Sally very much and didn't want her to grow up.

Finally, they arrived to school. Sally jumped out of the car in excitement, while her mom frowned. Her mom would have to learn to give up control of Sally.

Sally and her mom found their way to her classroom. Sally made friends very quickly. And her mom met her teacher. 

Sally's new teacher was very kind and funny. Sally loved her. Sally was excited to learn new things like how to read and write!

      Sally's new teacher told everyone what they would be learning. they would learn how to read, write, and do math. Sally was excited and her mom was excited for her.

Sally's mom knew what she had to do. She needed to let Sally grow and go to school. She knew couldn't be a baby forever. SO she decided to let Sally stay at school.

Sally's mom gave her a big hug. She wished Sally good luck and school and left. She knew Sally was in good hands.
