Chapter One

Jamie: 

    It had been 3 days since I had escaped that terrifying fortress. It seemed a bit WEIRD that no one had stopped me. But I SURE DIDN'T care. I was Out. Of. THERE. I kept running and running and RUNNING until I collapsed. Then I curled into a ball and shook and shook. I wasn't cold and clouded by darkness anymore. That place had made me THINK things Feel things it was HORRIBLE. I shivered and leaned against the tree behind me. 

    "HEY!" yelled a voice "I'm ALIVE you know and I REALLY don't appreciate you leaning against ME."

    "What the-" I shrieked jumping 3 feet into the air (I mean not LITERALLY but it felt like it!) 

    "Yes I AM alive ACTUALLY!" said the old tree "And I REALLY don't appreciate you leaning against me."

    "Oh uhhh...." I said uncertainlly, "sorry I ummm.... Well acually if you don't mind could I ask you something?" 

    "Ah yes!" said the old tree "Of course you want wisdom from me! I am a wise old tree of COURSE! Anyway- WAIT! I know you want to know your prophecy. Here is a riddle you MUST answer it IF you want your prophecy!"

    "Ummmm what-" I said confused "I don't want-" I was RUDLY interuppted by the old tree who said.....

    "What can you touch....." he paused dramatically "But not SEE!" 

    "hmmm..." I said thoughtfully. I sighed deeply. I suddenly realized just how COLD it was. I breathed on my hands to warm then up. ahhh warm air. ($o$) wait I felt AIR and i sure couldnt SEE it! "Ohhh I know! AIR!" I continued.

    "wow.." said the old tree "I suppose you did get it...." he sighed dramatically "Your prophecy is..... 

'A colluseum made of bones,

Friends lay surrounded by the kings thrones,

The monsters rise and strike terror,

The final team can not make an error,

A code will bring the king to his knees,

But only with the help of the King of trees,

The dragons wrath will strike again,

And an age of terror will begin,

And with the elements combined,

is the only way but we MUST rewind,

Lightning, Earth, Water, Fire,

Together greatness they aquire.'"

    The old tree finished speaking. 

    "Great....." I said uncertainally. "Umm, I really DIDN'T want the prophecy but I wanted to ask if you've seen my sister. Her name is Celestine... Celestine Rodreiguez! She was with a Wolf and 2 other girls!" 

    The old tree gasped "Your not here to hurt me right." He backed up. Or leaned back more like it.

    "Of course not!' I answered, TRUTHFULLY!

    "SO you aren't going to like BURN me down...." the old tree said uncertainlly.

    "OF COURSE NOT!" I yelled.

    "Oh," said the old tree "Then in that case they came right through this way!" he said leaning away from me. I looked up excitedly.

    "And...." I said eagerly

    The old tree sighed "And they went to the castle, they were looking for you."

Chapter Two

Rachel:

    We were surounded on all sides by HUNDREDS of monsters. Even with my sword skills and with Thunder and Delilah AND Celestine, there was NO way we could defeaat all of them. Celestine looked at us.

    "Rachel you take the goblins." she said. I nodded. I could do that. "Thunder get the giant." 

    "Okay..." he said. "HURRY they' re advancing..."

    "I know I know" said Celestine sweating. I was sweating BUCKETS as well. "Okay so then I will get those trolls and um Delilah get the griffins by flying up there. OMG WAIT."

    "Of COURSE!" I exclaimed "Delilah you can fly by turning into a bird!" 

    "But I couldn't carry all you." said Delilah. "OH NO there coming!"

    "GO DELILAH!" I screamed as a goblin jumped on me "FIND JAMIE!"

    "But-" Delilah said as she shape-shifted into a bird.

    "GO!!" screamed Celestine. I slashed my sword through the goblins jumping on top of one. Delilah nodded and flew through the griffins as they swiped at her. With that Delilah disappeared. She had BETTER find Jamie. We slashed and dove and rolled as we fought.  I had probably killed 100 goblins but they JUST KEPT coming! Celestine shot water and more water at the trolls freezing them in place. She used ice spears but when all those were gone griffins attacked her.

    "Oh no no no no no!" I moaned slashing through yet another goblin. "YOUCH!" I screamed clubbed me with his um... CLUB! "What the-"  my head swam but I fought to keep conscious. A lump the size of an EGG was forming on my head. I slashed through more. I vaguely saw  Celestine shouting and Thunder finishing of the giant and coming to help me.

    "RACHEL!" he yelled "FIGHT IT CELESTINE KNOWS WHAT TO DO!"

    "She does?" I said 

    "Get ON!" he yelled. I climbed onto him my whole world was spinning in circles. 

    "Ow ow ow ow ow ow." I muttered. Thunder raced toward Celestine who was mounting a griffin shooting sheet after sheet of ice into its face to keep it steady.

    "GET ON!" she screamed frantically for Derkaz himself seemed to be nervous of them actually escaping. "HURRY!" I was panicing to, through my haze of pain I jumped on with Thunder right behind me trying to get comfortable on a griffins back. Derkaz had stood up at this point.

    "YOUR NOT ESCAPING!" he belowed. Black clouds issued from his hand swirling through the air toward us.

    "NO!" I screamed as we took of into the air. I focused on one thing escaping. Celestine shot sheet after sheet of water at Derkaz in a desperate attempt to keep the dark smoke away from them.  I called on the stars help make this thing faster! Miraculasley the griffin sped up. I pumped my fist into the air.

    My head did NOT agree. As soon as I did it my head POUNDED with pain. I swayed and fell of the griffin and onto the cloud of darkness. Pain SOOO bad filled me. Everywhere.... pain... pain.. pain...........

    "NO!" I heard Celestine yell "WE HAVE TO GO BACK!"

    "Celestine we have to go, we HAVE to get Delilah and Jamie." Thunder cried "I'll- I'll stay with her you get the others!" No I thought, NO! Don't come to me save yourself. It hurt so much. Soon it was to much and I blacked out.

Chapter Three

Delilah:

    I flew through the woods as a bird until I could fly no longer. I have to find Jamie. I repeated that over and over again in my head. It was getting dark and I SURE hoped that my friends had escaped. I flew down to a tree and rested my head on a trunk. Suddenly I saw a bird skittering toward me. 

    "Hey little guy!" I said "Do you need something?" The bird hopped back startled. I turned into a bird maybe I could talk to it in bird form.

    "Eek humans!" it said "Wait NO your a bird?" 

    "Haha" I said "Yes I am." I was a bit surprised that had actually worked! I could talk to animals in animal FORM!

    "Ooo!" said the bird "Are you a shape-shifter?"

    "Yeah," I said excitedly "I am!" Maybe Jamie had asked the bird about me! 

    "OOOOOO!" the bird said "The king has been asking about you!"

    "He has..." I said uncertainlly. (I ruffled my feathers) "Actually do you know someone named Jamie. An almost nine year old boy? He has brown hair, brown eyes, and-" I was cut off by the bird.

    "Oh yeah actually Follow me!" said the bird happily. I was sooo happy. I could find Jamie!

    We walked for awhile in silence. Then the bird said.

    "Only a little bit longer," she said "He's with the wise old tree!" I stopped and my eyes widened.

    "The wise old tree..." I said. I gulped. Me and the wise old tree did NOT have a good relationship.

    "YES, the wise old tree." said the bird getting annoyed. "Just follow me!" I nodded and followed her. Finally we came to a tree with a boy frantically talking to the tree. 

    "I NEED directions!" he was saying "My freinds are in danger! The prophecy it all makes sense!" I quickly shape-shifted back into a human.

    "Jamie!" I cried.

    "Delilah?" he said incredulously.

    "Yes me!" I said. I hugged him.

    Slowly he backed up and said "So how in the WORLD did you find me?? And where are the others? And I have a prophecy you need to hear it. And-" 

    "Excuse me!" Interuppted the wise old tree "But aren't YOU the girl who set me on fire?" 

    "Yes..." I said truthfully "And I really AM sorry I was being controlled by someone else!" 

    "I guess I can see your telling the truth..." the old tree said hurumphing. "Well you two talk about whatever the heck you talk about."

    "Okay so.." I said "This bird helped me! And the others I don't know about them."

    "Wait..." said Jamie "I need to tell you something!"

    "But-" I started.

    "No," said Jamie "Listen... The tree told me a prophecy and it DOESN'T sound good. Listen..: A colluseum made of bones, Friends lay surrounded by the kings thrones, The monsters rise and strike terror, The final team can not make an error, A code will bring the king to his knees, But only with the help of the King of trees, The dragons wrath will strike again, And an age of terror will begin, And with the elements combined, is the only way but we MUST rewind, Lightning, Earth, Water, Fire, Together greatness they aquire.'"

    "Oh NO!" I said. "They're still in the colluseum. Oh NO!"

    "What!" said Jamie "WHAT colluseum." I explained everything to him. "Oh no...." he said after. EVERYTHING was going wrong.

    "We have to go back for them!" said Jamie.

    "NO!" I said.

    "But-" Jamie looked taken a back. In fact I was too. But the bird had said...

    "Look!" I said "The bird said something. About the king wanting to see me! This could be you know THE king." Jamie looked thoughtfull. 

    "Fine..." he said "The only way to stop Derkaz IS to get help from the King of trees. He'll give us a code. At least thats what the prophecy says..." I nodded.

    "They can take care of themselves." I offered with a smile.

    "Okay..." said Jamie "Ms. Bird could you lead the way?"

Chapter Four

Celestine:

    I landed and jumped of that retched griffin. It flew into the sky as soon as it was released. NO NO NO NO. I thought. Now Thunder and Rachel and Delilah AND Jamie were lost. Well more like I was lost. Hopefully Delilah had found Jamie. And Rachel and Thunder were STRONG! They could do this. But what was I supposed to do.... I slammed water into the trunk of a tree frustrated. I had flown for hours in circles. 

    "HEY!" said the tree. I jumped to my feet startled "Im ALIVE you know. Gosh thats the SECOND time this day i've gotton HIT!" I almost cried with releif. 

    "Oh wise old tree!" I said "Oh PLEASE help me!"

    "Oh, Its you." said the tree "Miss Celeste!"

    "Yes, its me!" I said "Have you seen Jamie or ANYONE who was with me before."

    "Actually I have!" said the tree.

    "OH REALLY!" I cried with happiness. "oh where are they!"

    "They just left an hour ago actually." answered the tree. Oh no no no. I thought. I had to find them Thunder had said.... 

    "What direction did they go?" I asked. The tree looked thought full.

    "hmmmm...." he said "I think they went north east." he said pointing vaugly with a branch. 

    "Oh THANK YOU!" I smiled "I would be COMPLETLY lost without you!" The tree turned a darker shade.

    "I AM a wise old tree." he said.

     "Okay," I said "I have to go and help my friends." The old tree nodded.

    "Of course," he said "I know well good luck and bye!"

    "Thanks!" and with that I turned around and walked in the direction he had pointed at. I walked for hours and hours. Wandering through the jungle. I was VERY hot and getting frustrated. Another burst of water flew from my had and hit the dirt hard. I sat down. 

    "Where could they have gone..." I wondered out loud. Suddenly I heard a high-pitched squeal. "What......" I said. What was there, was there something there that could be dangerous.

    "Who are you.." I whispered "Show yourself!" I said forcefully. I heard giggles and whispering. What WAS it???? 

    "You do it!" giggled one.

    "No YOU!" whispered another one "I'm to scared."

    "Fine!" said the first one and they exploded into laughter. They hiccuped a little then regained control of themselves. 

    "Whats so FUNNY!" I said frustrated and abit embaressed. A little human with tiny wings appeared from behind the bush. A FAIRY!!! "Hi.." I said, not knowing how to act.

    "Hi." said the fairy shyly. "l'm Trixie! Come on out Lilly!"

    "Okay okay..." said the other voice. Lilly came from behind the bushes. Then she whispered "Hi.... the king NEEDS to see you!"

Chapter Five:

Rachel:

    I woke up in a dark room with no light except for a tiny sliver of it coming through a tiny barred window. There was a giant steel door and in front of it a pile of slop. 

    "Ick......" I rasped. 

    "Your awake!" said Thunder. "Finally, you have been out for a DAY!"

    "I have.." I coughed. "Blech I feel horrible...."

    "Its the effect of Derkaz's smoke," explained Thunder "I healed because of the moon, but you'll be feeling like this for another day."

    "But we have to escape....." I groaned "We have too ya know STOP Derkaz."

    "Rest FIRST!" insited Thunder. So I fell into a deep sleep.

    "RACHEL!!!" said a voice, I was lying in the woods with Jamie standing above me."It worked! Where are you? Is everything okay? What happened at the colleseum? We learned the prophecy!"

    "Huh?" I said "Is this a dream?"

    "No," said Jamie urgently "I am using telepathy and I DON'T have much time so TELL me what happened! Oh and by the way Delilah is with me if you were worried."

    I started to explain.

    "Oh." I added still stunned "Okay so Celestine escaped, but we didn't. And Derkaz's magical powers, they hurt us and so I was out for a day. And then you contacted me through telepathy so yeah!" I faltered and added "Life SUCKS." 

    "Ha!" snorted Jamie "You can say that again. So anyway are you in the tower?"

    "Yes I am and I PLAN to escape as soon as I get out of this telepathy thingy." I said then quickly added "WAIT! But where are you? And are YOU okay?" 

     "Yes I am!" said Jamie. "But I need to tell you about the prophecy."

    "Prophecy?" I said "What PROPHECY!?" 

    "This one:" said Jamie and he repeated the prophecy.

    "So you're going to the king." I muttered "This could work... You go to the king with Delilah, get the code. Me and Thunder will bust ourselves out, then you use your telepathy to find Celestine!" I mused.

    "Great!" Jamie said enthusiastically "Okay so you use your star navigation power to get there. "

    "Okay," I said "I will!"

    "Great one more thing!" said Jamie "You have to-" He started getting fuzzy and going in and out of focus. 

    "What?" I said my voice slurring "Oh noooooooo............." The whole world tipped upside down as it went around and around in circles. 

    I woke up yet again with Thunder standing over me. 

    "Jamie!" I said "He contacted me in my dream and so then he told me-"

    "shush!" said Thunder urgently "I heard a gaurd outside our door. I think they WANT us to escape honestly, but I don't know for sure."

    "What did the gaurd say?" I said, holding my breath.

    "He said," said Thunder "Der-" He was cut of by a loud CRASH! "What the-" he said looking around.

    "What was that-" I said nervously. Screams and shouts came from outside of the door. "Freind or foe?" I asked Thunder.

    "Only one way to find out." he answered, we looked at each other and winked. 

    "Only one way to find out." I echoed. And we got ready to. Bust. Open. That. Door!

Chapter Six:

Jamie:

    "Right here!" The little bird. We had been walking for a LONG time. We had fought of hordes of goblins and a BUNCH of trolls. We were really banged up. Before us was a GIANT TREE. I mean it wasn't BIG it wasn't HUGE, it was MASSIVE! I could hear a sort of buzz coming from it like there were a lot of things in it, LIVING things. 

    "Are you sure?" I asked uncertainly. "I mean I guess it does SOUND like it." It sure looked like it too. There were little bridges and ropes and a doorway at the bottom of the tree just big enough for me. 

    "Yes, I'm sure." said the bird. 

    "Okay," said Delilah "Well how can we get in or UP there?

    "Nice question....." I said, "How DO we get in Ms. BIrd?"

    "Just go through the doorway!" said the bird in a matter-of-factly tone. "I KNOW it seems impossible but TRUST me." I was willing to trust her since I had contacted Rachel just to get wave after wave of bad news thrown over me. Then I had TRIED to contact Celestine but I wasn't able to. Anyway, we needed to get the code fast (If this was even the way to get the code) so we could meet up with Rachel and find Celestine and use the code to save the day!

    "Okay?" I said "Let's go... I guess..." Delilah nodded. We walked into the tree's doorway, in front of us a staircase. It went up and up and up. It was so cramped that we had to go sideways and crouch to get up them. 

    "Ugh." said Delilah. "This may take awhile!" She was right we climbed forever. Yet it was STILL deserted, we hadn't seen ANYTHING (except stairs). We climbed and climbed until we emerged in a giant hallow room. It had a ceiling just high enough for us. It was actually PRETTY BIG! We could comfortably stand with space between us. 

    "ARGH!" yelled a tiny voice. I heard a sqeesh from beneath my foot. "Help, STOP!" choked the voice. I quickly lifted my foot.

    "SORRY!" I cried as I looked down to see a tiny male fairy with a crown next to it. It fluttered up right into my face as soon as my foot got of him. 

    "AND WHO ARE YOU!" he said in a tiny voice. 

    "Jamie." I said. I almost laughed. It was hard to be scared of something that was 8 inches high.

    "Humph!" said the "King" or I was ASSUMING he was the king "I am looking for a DELILAH! Not a JAMIE!" There was a hint of disdain in his voice. 

    "Right here!" said Delilah, stepping forward and raising her hand a little. "You wanted to see me?"

    "Ah!" said the king "AHA! I am the KING of the fairies!" he said winking "And I NEED to tell you something....! I was told this a LONG time ago and I was ALSO told that I NEEDED to tell it to DELILAH!" He said "Delilah" with a bow.

    "Hehe!" said Delilah with a forced smile "So what do you need to tell me. I could tell she thought, no, KNEW it was the code. 

    "It is..." said the King who looked thoughtful "I need payment first."

    I sighed. "What do you need?" I asked.

    "JEWELS!" said the King eagerly. 

    "GOT IT!" said Delilah. How did that girl have JEWELS I thought. It seemed Delilah had read my mind and mouthed 'later'. I nodded.

    "WONDERFULL!" said the king "Now on to telling you." he said as he fingered the jewels. I was starting to wonder, who in there right mind would trust this guy with the code that would stop Derkaz. 

    "It is..." he said again "Ethay‌ ‌ingkay‌ ‌ofyay‌ ‌eestray‌ ‌illway‌ ‌obtainyay‌ ‌ethay‌ ‌eykay‌ ‌utbay‌ ‌ightninglay‌ ‌illway‌ ‌akemay‌ ‌ethay‌ ‌ortalpay‌!"

    "WHAT!?" I said incredulously "WAIT! Lemme write that down." The king repeated it for us and handed us the TINIEST paper and pen EVER! I struggled to write it down but managed.

    "Thanks....." I said. "But-
