"Let's go and live in Wairoa," said Mum in 2020.

"O.K." said Dad.

Te Rangi and Ariana were very surprised.

They helped pack up all their things in the truck and off they zoomed down the road from Gisborne to Wairoa. They sang songs as they went along.

Te Rangi wanted his guitar but it was packed up in the back.

After a long, long time Dad stopped the truck.

"We're here!" cried Mum. "Look at our new home!"

"That's not our house," shouted Te Rangi.

"Yes it is," said Dad, 

"It's called a caravan.""

Ariana looked and looked.

The whole family went to look at the caravan. There were beds and a table and chairs to sit on. 

"Tino pai," smiled Te Rangi. Ariana clapped her hands. She was happy.

Te Rangi asked lots of questions.

Where's the kitchen?"

Where's the whare paku?"

"Do I still go to playcentre and see my friends?"

"Where's my bed?"

Dad answered all 

his questions.

"This is the kitchen," said Mum. "We'll be cooking right here," said Dad. If it rains, we won't get wet."

"Let's go and explore outside," said Te Rangi.

Mum and Dad worked hard in the gardens. They planted seeds. They watered the gardens. They learned lots and lots.

Te Rangi made some new friends. They built huts, played with sticks and ran around. 

It was fun 

to have friends.
