One day Mark had to go to school for the first time in this town. Mark had to go in 2nd grade. Mark got scared as he packed his backpack. He told his dad as he ate breakfast. His dad said “don’t worry school is going to be fun.” Then he saw his brother, Marti, going in the car with Mark's mom to school. I said “ok I will go to school.” Mark went to school with his dad in his dad's car. His brother, Marti, was in 4th grade.

 Then Mark and his dad came to Mark’s school and he dropped Mark. Mark heard the bell ring and Mark went inside the school to his classroom. Mark saw his two best friends in the classroom and their names were Martin and the other one was Chris. Martin and Chris were the first ones in the classroom. And on the other side of the hall,  Mark's other two friend’s Max and Billy were in their classroom. Then finally everyone came into the classroom and the last person to come was Axel.

 First we did reading workshop and we wrote in our reading books and read our books for 40 minutes. Next we did writing workshop and we wrote in our writing books  for 40 minutes. Then we ate snack for 20 minutes. I got a donut. After that we did math and we had a test. There were 45 questions in the test. Finally we did science and we learned about animals. Then we finally packed our backpacks and went in line.

 Then I went to my dad and we picked up Marti. My dad asked me “Mark, did you have fun at school today?” I said “I did have fun at school!” I also asked my dad “ where is mom?” My dad said “she is at work.” Then my brother came and we walked to our car. After that we came home and we ate lunch. For lunch we got pasta. Then I did my homework and my brother did his homework too. I had a meeting and it was gym. And my brother did his homework on paper.

My school finished at 3. And my brother finished at 5 o’clock.  Then my dad and I rode our  bikes together for 4 miles and came back. Mark’s mom was coming back at 6 o’clock. Then finally Marti finished his work right on time. Then mom came after her work and we made dinner for her because she was tired of working. As I ate dinner, I watched a movie called Star Wars. Next we went upstairs and I took my bath. Then I brushed my teeth and went to sleep. I dreamed what could go wrong tomorrow, Mark thought.

The next morning Mark woke up tired as he went downstairs. Mark’s mom asked “what’s wrong Mark?” Mark said “nothing is wrong I am just tired because I did not sleep the whole night.” Then after breakfast Mark was not tired anymore. Then Mark took his backpack and dad and Mark went to school. Next Mark hopped off the car and said “goodbye!” Then Mark walked to his classroom and he saw something  was wrong.

The teacher was not here and it was late. Then some people in Mark’s class were so loud and they were singing. But Mark was not one of them. Then a different teacher said “be quiet!” And a second later the substitute came into Mark's classroom and said “hi guys.” And I said “hi” and I also said “ Axel, Dylan, David, and Aviva sang a song and they were very loud.” “Ok, Mark take them to the principal and they would get three hours of detention.”

Then Mark took them to the principal office. The principal said “why are you here?” Mark said “these guys were making so much noise in the classroom because the teacher was not here.” The principal said “ you guys are going to detention.”

Mark marched in the hallway to his classroom and told the teacher “ the principal said they have to stay there for three hours.” Then Mark saw that there were not so many people in Mark’s classroom. Later it was almost time for snack. Mark said “it looks like the people at the principal office are going to miss snack and lunch”.

 Then the class marched out of the classroom to the door outside. And they saw people playing basketball and baseball. They also played on the swings and on the slides. Mark tried to play basketball but he was worried because the basketball might hit his head. Mark tried and tried and tried! Then he finally made a shot. But his teacher said “Mark it is snack time not recess.” After Mark just came from basketball, snack time was over.

The kids on the playground were so small. Then Mark saw Max and Billy coming to snack and Mark said “hi”. The class marched into their classroom. Next the class did science and in science we learned about animals. It was so fun  because we had to watch a video and we did a project about animals.

Science room

 I chose a Great White Shark as my animal. Martin chose a King Cobra and Chris chose a Frog. And Aviva chose a cow as her animal. I did not like cows. Billy did a Spirit Bear. And Max chose an Immortal Jellyfish. I saw Axel chose a Ring Tailed Lemur. After science it was time for recess and lunch. I played a basketball game against Axel, Dylan, and David. And I was with Martin and Chris.

 My team name was The Flaming Champions. And the other team was The Lazy Hot Dogs. My team was the first in the league but it was practice because the game was in the evening. My real team was me, Martin, Chris, Max, Billy, Ryan, Jacob, Liam, Leon, and Henry. And my team name was The Flaming Champions. And the other team was  The Lazy Hot Dogs team was Aviva, Dylan, David, Axel, Ben, Harper, Jesse, Shreyas, Sam, and Tom.

 The Rising Suns had Nathan, Archer, Harry, Luca, Ellie, Molly, Spirit, Vihaan, Alex, and  Adam. The Blazing Comets and the people were Jack, Rohan, Bill, Harley, Jason, Jeff, Ray, Jackson, Jenny, and Arthur. The FireBalls were next and had Robert, Rahul, Eva, Maya, Greg, Marti, George, Lucas, Arnav, and Mack. Then I saw that this match I am vs. my brother on his team. I was scared.

 One other team was called the NBA Players, the people on the team were Mike, Ari, Leo, Finn, Shaan, Owen, Zach, Fred, and Peter. Another team was called The Basketball Challengers. And on that team were Carl, James, Jimmy, Koki, Abraham, Franklin, Joe, Emily, Marcie, and Javier. The people on The Super Players were Laith, Angela, Alyssa, Manny, Rodrick, Susan, Quinn, Andrew, Mathew, and Harry.

And then the last team was called The Bouncy Basketballs. They did not have good people on their team and the people were Joshua, Evan, Austin, Neil, Ethan, Oliver, William, Justin, Jordan, and Arjun. And the last team was The Challengers and they had Nathan, Benjamin, Daniel, Luke, Harrison, Zack, Grayson, Brody, Rayan, and Allen. That was all of the teams in the league.

Then it was lunchtime and today we got pasta and pizza. I got a seat at lunch next to my friend’s and we all talked to each other. After lunch I  went to my classroom and the people from the principal were already there in the classroom when we were doing lunch. Now I am so full that I think I overate.
