Dear Granny, I'll see you soon! I can't wait! I'll bring you goodies, and we'll have a picnic! I just love picnics. Anyway, I can't wait to see the surprise you said you had for me. I love surprises and picnics on the same day! I miss you sooo much! Love, your favorite grandchild!
The girl who wrote this letter did go to her granny's house and she got a red cloak from her granny. She wore it so much that everyone called her little red riding hood or Red for short. The cloak she wore was as red as blood, the color that attracted wolves in the forest.
That letter was written 5 years ago and going to granny's house had become a tradition for Red and her family. Now, it was time to go to granny's house but her dad and sisters and brothers got a severe virus the day before and Red's mother had to tend to them. Red was seven and her mother decided that she was old enough to go through the woods to her granny's old shared nursing home. As Red was off, she called: "Be careful and don't talk to strangers!" Red didn't really listen.

She confidently strode through the woods, humming to herself as she went. She was jogging when her cloak got stuck on a tree branch. Now, it happened that there was a hungry wolf in the forest. He spotted the flash of blood red and naturally was stomping towards the color because that color attracts wolves. He kindly offered to help her get her cloak of the branch of the tree. Red was so desperate she cried out, "Oh, please do help me, kind stranger! I'll give you anything in return!"

The wolf asked for ten coins. "Oh no!" Red exclaimed. "I don't even have ten coins! Hey, I have a clever idea. How about you go to my granny's house with me and she will give me ten coins?" The wolf agreed and the two were off.

Now, Red ran ahead and found a lake. The wolf stopped for her. Some mermaids on rocks near the shore called out to her. "Don't trust the wolf!" Red laughed and just continued on.

Now, they finally got to granny's house. Granny heard Red coming and opened the door. The wolf ate granny instantly and Red knew what was coming. She screamed as loud as she could before the wolf gobbled her down.
