Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon or let the eagle tell you where he's been? Have you ever sang with all the voices of mountain? Or painted with all the colors of the wind?- Pocahontas

I live in the bustling village of Plantaniam. Everyone here loves plants and planting stuff is all they do. I, however have never grown a plant. Today is different. Today is my seventh birthday and I am going to plant my very first seed! My mother gives me a seed. "It grows beautiful roses." She tells me.
I race into the garden and press my seed into the dirt. I wait for it to grow, but it doesn't. I go and tell my mother. "Oh, it doesn't grow right away, silly." She explains. I'm not sure though.
I wait a day and my seed doesn't grow. My mother just tells me the same thing though. I think I should water my plant. I carefully pour just the right amount of water. I wait and wait but it still does not grow. My mother tells me to be patient and wait. It's worth a try.
I wait months and months and my seed still doesn't grow. Even my mother seems concerned. I ask her what's happening and she just shrugs. "Everybody has their own pace right?" she asks me. I just walk away. My plant won't ever grow.
I go into the garden and am surprised to see that a strange old woman is there. She smiles at me and says. "Hello. I've been watching your plant. It's doing rather well." I tell her it hasn't been growing. "Why would you think that?" she asks. "You see this?" she bends down and points to the soil. Sure enough, there is a little bud poking through the soil.
