Brynlee jumped and ran to the window whenever she heard a firetruck coming down the street in hopes she would catch a glimpse of her Daddy. Sometimes it was his truck but most times it wasn't. She always knew it was heading to someone in need.

"Mom!" It was Daddy this time!" She yelled from the window. "Brynlee, you know that truck was going too fast to tell if that was Daddy or not."

"Nope," Brynlee said as she danced into her room, "It was truck 48!"
"Well ok. Then Daddy was probably on it." Brynlee's mom responded.

Later that day when her Daddy came home Brynlee greeted him happily,
"Dadddy, Daddy, I saw you today!" Brynlee said ecstatically.
"You did?" He responded.
"Yup. Where were you going?" She eagerly asked.
"Headed to help someone who needed our help to get to safety." He explained.
"Wow Daddy, Good job. You are soooo brave!" Brynlee remarked.
"Just doing my job!" He reassured her.

The next day as Brynlee was eating her favorite oatmeal for breakfast she noticed her Dad had already left for work.
"Mommy, did Daddy leave early?" Brynlee asked pouting,
"Yes, There was an emergency and he got called in to help" Brynlee's Mom reassured her.
"Oh, no" Brynlee cried out, "It was his turn to go to school and talk to my class about being a fireman."
"He said he would be there, not to worry sweetheart." Her mom comforted her before sending her off to school.

All morning in class Brynlee was so worried that it would be her turn to introduce her Dad and he wasn't there yet. As each student went up to the front of their class Brynlee kept looking out the window anxiously, then she heard her name called..
"Brynlee, sorry you have to go last but we did that because you have to go outside before it's your turn" Her teacher Miss Nicole said.

As the class lined up and walked single file through the hall and out the door Brynlee had no idea what was going on. Then as she got closer to the parking lot she saw an amazing site.

There parked in front of school was her Daddy's firetruck. Her Daddy was smiling and standing right next to the truck. Brynlee was so excited and as he introduced himself, he explained he was late today because they had to help at a nearby neighborhood. He let the kids know everyone was safe and talked about importance of being a firefighter.
