Mila, Brighton and Yunling had all been friends since they were babies in a playgroup together and tomorrow was going to be a big day for them. 

Its the first day of kindergarten...

Mila was a little scared of going to the first day of school. 

Brighton was excited to play on the big, shiny playground and Yunling couldn’t decide if she wanted to wear her pink bow or blue bow.

“Tomorrow is going to be so fun.” Brighton exclaimed as they played together while their mother’s chatted about first day schedules.

“Friends take care of each other.” 

Brighton said as she joined the hug. 

“Don’t be scared, we will be there and the teachers are all very nice. My big sister says they give you treats and read you books.” 

Yunling said as she hugged Mila.

“What if I get scared when the teacher asks me a question?” Mila asked.

“Girls,” Brighton’s Mom called out, “Who wants a snack?”

“MEEEE!!!” All three girls exclaimed at the same time and ran to the kitchen for some cookies and juice.

The next morning the girls were up bright and early to get ready for school.

Their moms each took lots and lots of pictures to celebrate the big day.

Mila was very nervous as they neared the school.

“Mommy, my tummy hurts and I think I need to stay home with you today.” she said.

“Now, Mila, I know you are scared but there is no reason. Kindergarten is going to be so exciting and once you get there, you, Brighton and Yunling are going to have fun, make new friends and learn so many interesting things.”

Mila had her doubts, but put on a brave face and got out of the car.
