This book is also dedicated to my amazing FCCLA chapter advisor, Miss. Mac who took me under her wing my freshman year. I attribute my growth and success in FCCLA and High School to her.

Everyday at Briella's school a new line leader is chosen to lead the kids throughout the day.

The line leader is a big deal and every kid begs and begs to be the line leader but only one can be chosen. The leader of the day gets to wear a special button that shows they are "Leader of The Day"

Everyday Briella walks into class and asks her teacher Miss. Mac if it is her turn to be line leader. Everyday Miss. Mac tells her, a leader is always a leader and not just a leader when needed.

Is it my turn yet?
But sadly, each day Briella comes home sad that she wasn't chosen to be line leader and feels let down that she isn't good enough to be a leader.

Will it ever be my turn? Am I even good enough?

One day Briella came home from school in an extra sad mood that she wasn't chosen to be line leader that day again. Her big sister Daly hears her crying and comes into her room to see what's wrong.
“Briella Grace, what’s wrong?” Daly asks concerned.

“I wasn’t chosen to be line leader again….. And I have been waiting forever, Daly.” Briella sighs.
“Briella, a leader is a leader everyday no matter the benefits or fancy title that comes with it. A leader is someone who is ready to take action no matter when and is a model for everyone else.”
Daly reassures her by giving her a big hug.

“Thanks Daly. You are the best big sister ever. I love you so much!” Briella happily remarks.
“Of course Bri, Love you more. Now go get ready for bed, you have school tomorrow.” Daly tells her and Briella runs off to get ready for her next day of school.

The next day at school Briella didn’t ask a single time if it was her turn to be line leader. But she made sure to be a leader even though she knew she wasn't a line leader. When Miss. Mac stepped out of the room to talk to another teacher, she told the line leader Hannah to get the kids ready for recess. But Hannah was too busy talking to her friends and showing them her new fidget toy.

Briella stepped right into action knowing what Miss. Mac asked but seeing the leader wasn’t following directions. She told each person to get in line and made sure everyone was holding their bubble when Miss. Mac walked in. The only people that weren’t listening were Hannah and her friends as they still chattered away talking.

Miss. Mac walked into the class as Briella and her peers stood in line waiting to be released, “Wow Hannah- You did a great job as line leader today! You might just get an extra day to be a leader again!” Miss. Mac cheerfully exclaimed.
"Wow Miss. Mac, Thank you??” Hannah responded confused.
