One day there was a girl named Grace who's
parents were teachers. They both taught English in
different countries before. Grace was ten years old.
She loved to travel and explore different countries.
Her parents let her know that they were going to
move to China. Her parents were going to teach
English there. Wow, Grace was excited that they
would move to China soon.

Soon the day arrived that they had been waiting for.
It was the day they got to board the plane that took off
for China. Before the plane took off, Grace said goodbye
to her friends and family. Then she and her parents got
into a plane, and it took off. They were eager to see the
sites in China. Grace smiled a lot on the plane. She
memorized some new words in Mandarin.

Once they got to China, Grace and her parents got
into a taxi that drove them to near their new home. It
was next door to the school where her parents would
teach English. Grace loved her new home. It had a big
backyard, that was near a forest. She was going to
attend the school her parents would work at. Grace
unpacked her stuff in her room. She was happy in her
new home.

Grace didn't have to go to school for another week.
So, the next day she told her parents that she was going
to go explore the backyard and the forest. They agreed
to let her go. So, she took her backpack with her lunch
inside, and set out to explore places.
Her backyard had a pond with goldfish inside. She put
her fingers in the water and the fish nibbled on her
fingers. Grace laughed and enjoyed watching the fish
swim around. Her backyard had a swing. She sat on the
swing and looked at the apple trees in her yard. There
was a forest nearby. She wanted to explore the forest
next.

Grace left her backyard and entered a forest. It was full of trees and
bamboo. She walked for a long time. She saw birds flying around, and
she saw a big panda bear near her eating bamboo. It ran away from
her when she went to pet it. She decided to walk into a cave. Grace
went inside, and then she walked out the other side of the cave. Then
she discovered a huge tree. It had a large trunk, and looked old. This
tree had pretty white, sweet smelling flowers on it.
It was dusk, and almost night. She wanted to go home now. As she
turned, she saw a small white dragon. It flew around her. There were
fire flies flying around her too and they lit up the darkness. The small
dragon had soft white fur, and wings. It flew near her and sat down
close to her shoes. Grace pet its head and talked to him. She told him
her name. She called it Mr. Dragon. Grace enjoyed petting its soft
white fur.
