Things you will need to make your own rocket:

1. Baggie (not zip lock)

2. Mentos (must be mint)

3. A bottle of coke (diet coke works best)

Instructions: 

1. Unscrew the soda bottle cap, let some of 

the gas out, and then take off the cap.

2. Put Mentos into a baggie.

3. Put the baggie in the coke bottle. Make sure 

the baggie doesn't sag over the rim but sits 

just inside the top of the bottle so the cap can 

screw back on.

4. Put the cap on the bottle.

5. Shake the bottle for 15 to 30 seconds 

so the Mentos fall out of the bag and mix 

into the soda. 

Safety Tip: Make sure to keep the bottle 

pointed away from your face.

6. Throw the bottle up in the air. 

7. Stand back and watch your rocket blast off!
