Grauer's gorillas are one of the most peaceful apes aside bonobos. Unlike bonobos grauer's gorillas are silverback male dominate and bonobos are female dominate. These gorillas are very playful and peaceful. They rarely kill or attack but will if they are threatened. These gorillas are endangered because of people hunting them or eating them. Their are about 600 left in the wild. The only zoo in the world that has these type of gorillas is a Belgian zoo in Belgium. They

live in North and South Kivu.

Grauer's gorillas spend most of their time in groups feeding on plants for hours. These groups stay together for months or years at a time like a regular family. They are also very intelligent like chimps they can make nests , tools, and more.

Groups of these gorillas can be large compared to other gorilla subspecies. They eat many things like leaves and fruits.They are the largest kind of gorillas and usually only mate for procreation. They are also very funny and playful. But they are getting extinct and the next chapter will talk all about that.

With the war going on in my country lots of rebels have been killing millions of people , but often people are sad for the people but never the animals. Sure lots of people think animals are animals but the link between humans and animals are strong and with this war people are also killing the animals espiecially the gorillas. They usually also cook and eat them which is very cruel. But we can change that we can help these animals and all endangered animals.
