The year was 1651: The birth of Zadou, the chosen one. Now Zadou lived with his parents until one day they got sold into slavery. Zadou was sad but a wrinkly faced man named Ahbo changed his life. He brought Zadou into his home like a loving father and Zadou was surprised to see how lovely it was. Ahbo then made Zadou sit and told him stories of talking animals, highly advanced people, and a spider. Little did Zadou know he would cross paths with this spider. Then the wise old man made a mistake by saying " Hamudagu". All of a sudden lightning crackled in the air

There was a bang on the door and a huge silverback gorilla appeared at the door. "Ahbo Zuke Sesani the third", you have broken rule 5,368 of Hamudagu." Now Zadou was shocked, a talking gorilla, impossible, but reader this gorilla did talk and he had more to say. "You are not allowed to speak of Hamudagu to the 'chosen one' until he is of age. "Sorry Saba but I need to, it is time." said Ahbo the old man." For disobeying this rule you and the 'chosen one' will be sent to the court of King Anansi.

Now before I continue the story I must tell you that if I don't tell you this you will not understand this story. Now King Anansi was not always a king. He was a mischievous trickster and he was not what you expected. You will understand that later. Although he was a trickster he did good.

He brought stories to the world, stole fire to give to humans and many more. One day Olorun the sky god told Anansi that one day a child will become king of Hamudagu, the place hidden from the world. Although he will be the best king of Hamudagu he will bring conflict. "How do you know this?" asked Anansi, "Because I know everything," answered Olorun. "What if he changes this prophecy," "Impossible". But that is what Olorun thought. In the years of Anansi's reign he accomplished many feats. Have you ever wondered why leopards have spots?

Well ask Anansi who gave rabbits their tails. Anyway Anansi was growing old and always wondering about Olorun's prophecy until one day his Grand Council Leader/General Saba the gorilla came in with an old man and a young boy.

Now reader you know that in Anansi's view he did not know these people (except for Saba) but we are in Zadou's view and what he saw was something he would never forget. "Where are we exactly," whispered Zadou, because the big ape had put sleeping medicine on Zadou. "We are in King Anansi's court," whispered Ahbo. And Zadou's response was,"Why is there a spider sitting on a throne?" "Because that is the small but powerful KING ANANSI," replied Saba the huge gorilla.

Now reader I know what you are thinking. Why would this person we heard about, this mighty king who brought fire to earth be a small spider. Well reader all I can say is looks can be deceiving. Anyway back to the story, "By the law of Hamudagu the trial will be held against Ahbo for breaking rule 5,368: talking about Hamudagu to the 'chosen one'," said Saba. "Begin trial now," shouted Anansi,"Now the accused will speak against his sin," continued Saba. "Anansi, Saba, people and animals of the court don't you know our home is being attacked. Not just Hamudagu

the place only we africans know about but the rest of our continent: AFRICA. We are being captured and forced to work against our will, Anansi is getting old, our capturers might find Hamudagu. The prophecy will eventually happen but if I teach the boy now we might have a chance to save Hamudagu and the rest of the Motherland (Africa)," said Ahbo."Very well," said Anansi," But you will still have to prove yourselves, Saba explain the mission." "You will sneak on a slave ship and free some of our people. I will accompany you and Osibo the leopard will guard

King Anansi while we get the slaves." After those words Saba, Zadou, and Ahbo were off.

Now reader remember the parents who got sold into slavery. Well they are about to see someone they have not seen in years. Now the were getting older but still worked the slave life. They had an average of 10 beatings a day. The mother's name

was Sultani and the father's was Mpape. Both have tried to escape many times but hope is still in them. One day Mpape spots 3 figures late at night. A boy, an old man, and a silverback. "Wife!" shouted Mpape, "Our rescuers are here," "Hush, you will wake up," replied his wife, "I don't care, we must tell the others, Oh lord freedom is almost here". That reader is when he made a big mistake for he had awoken the slave so called "masters". Three men came walking out with whips and pistols, "What's going on", said a man with a French accent. That is when Mpape and Sultani

made a run from the three men.

Now reader what Zadou saw were two old slaves running toward him and three white men with dirty teeth. Zadou, Ahbo, and Saba were unarmed so they ran and found a hiding spot. Suddenly the two old slaves appeared. "Thank you", said Mpape, "You look familiar", replied Zadou. "Well depends," said Sultani, "What is your name." "My name is Zadou," said the boy Zadou, "Son!" said the parents in unison. Now the parents and Zadou started talking and introducing themselves while Anansi was having problems of his own.

Osibo the leopard was doing a good job guarding King Anansi but Anansi was thinking. Now, reader this story takes place in the 1600's where electronics were not invented but Hamudagu was so advanced that even today people do not have it's technology. King Anansi was worried because Zadou and the others had not came back in awhile. On his highly-advanced computer he saw where they were. He was also worried that what Olorun the sky god said was right but before he had time to think a big "BOOM" bounded on the door and he knew Nyame's prophecy
