The ocean was all we had.
That was why we felt so sad.
Ships came across the seas.
Look ahead we see some trees.
River so deep and wide.
It was full of fish inside.
When we saw no hope in sight.
God was there with His light.
When we look all around,
Trees for houses were what we found.
Our houses we started to build.
Strangers came to help us plow a field.
Corn, beans, and squash were what we grew.
This was what the First Americans knew.
Berries were always fun to pick.
Just be careful of the ones that make us sick.
