Chapter 13: Black and White like the old days

I didn't know what to do, then I remember what I did with Johnny back in Mississippi. When the creature was about to shoot, I held my arms up just like before and my invisible shield barrier appeared. The shot hit my barrier and exploded.

   For some reason, the explosion and the hit from the shot was able to hurt me. Either that or the fact I am connected with the shield. Although, I didn't feel Johnny's hit when he almost punched me... There must be a catch to this.

  I tasted something from my mouth and I touched my mouth and saw blood. Not only was I hurt, but I was bleeding.

"Faria... Are you okay? Faria? Faria!" Silver called.

I was unable to hear him because after seeing the blood and because of the unbearable pain, I fainted.

I woke up seeing Silver in front of my face. I must be alive because after getting into my senses, I felt so much pain that I groaned a little.

"She's okay!" Silver said."Faria! Are you alright?! You took quite a blow in the chest with your shield barrier".

"I...don't...know...I am just feeling....a...lot...of pain..."I said weakly. I didn't get up for, I was scared to see all kinds of blood. I am already tasting the blood pouring slowly from my mouth.

Shadow and Denner lifted me carefully, to a tree for me to sit up on.

"Are you going to be alright Faria?" Shadow asked.

"Maybe... Denner, do you know a healing spell? Since this place is all magic, doesn't that mean there are spells like healing spells?" I asked.

Denner thought about it. Then he ran to his now-black-and-white-house, and grabbed a book. He opened it to a certain page.

"Yes, there is a healing spell. But only someone with magic can cast it. I'm just a trainer, I don't have magic. I just study it", Denner explained.

"Maybe I can do it", Shadow volunteered.

"But you lost your magic remember?" Silver said.

"Then can't we find a magical creature? I am in terrible pain here and I don't think I can save this whole island with a bunch of wounds that are stopping me from doing anything", I explained.

"Oh! I know someone who can help! Cotton is a fairy who can cast spells...oh... but she is all the way at the other side of the lands of black and white." Shadow said.

"Well, lets get moving then! I may be hurt, but I can still walk... sort of..." I said.

"Okay, then it's settled. We will travel to the other side of the lands of black and white to see Cotton", Denner said.

Chapter 14: Akina's Story

The flight to the castle was very long. I dared not to resist the captivity of the witch's blight goon. Every moment I was thinking about Faria. I hope she was alright, maybe Silver told her everything... Nah, he wouldn't do that. He made a promise and dogs are very noble. So he should keep his promise...I hope.

When we got to the castle, most of the lands around the castle and beyond was black and white. I saw some of the creatures of the colorful forest being turned into ugly black and white creatures. Poor things, hopefully I might be able to help them.

We went inside the castle through the main hall. We walked on a white rug surrounded by a colorless gray wall and floor. Blight soldiers

were guarding every inch of the hallway. Guess that means no chance of escape.

The blight goon continued to force me down the hallway until we came to huge gray doors with a guard on each side. The goon said something in a strange language that I couldn’t understand completely. All I got was,” Queen Gregory Prisoner Akina”.

Then one of the soldiers went inside of the door. A few minutes later, the doors slowly opened and a dark and evil voice called out,

“Enter!”

The soldier nudged me inside, like the rest of the palace, everything was black and white. There was a huge black and white throne with a beautiful woman on it. Her skin was as white as snow. Her Hair was as black as the night sky. Her dress was just as black as her hair. Her eyes were black and cold. Sitting on her head was a huge gray crown. I knew exactly who she was, Queen Gregory.

“Hello Akina, I see you’ve decided to visit”, she said coldly.

“That has nothing to do with the fact that you are changing the land into some sort of dull place”, I argued.

“Oh! Thank you for noticing. I decided to take the liberty of making a few changes.” she said evilly.

“Well, get used to your so called ‘changes’ now,but soon someone will defeat you!” I stood strong and proud.

“My sister Coralina is dead! And I’ve almost turned everyone black and white, who else is there to stop me?!” She asked.

“That’s what I though. There is no one to stop me. You probably got that from the phony prophecy I keep hearing about.” She laughed evilly. Then she called one of her Blight goons to take me into one of her gray dungeons.

The dungeons were the most gloomiest place I’ve ever seen. There was no color at all and there wasn’t even a bed to sleep on. In order to use the bathroom, I had to use the bucket in the corner. I really hope Faria is doing better than I am.

Chapter 15: Coming close to the light

I staggered on with my new companions as we traveled to Cotton's place. As we walked, the surrounding area was nothing but black and white. We tried not to look too noticeable,and we made sure to dodge any patrols.

I turned around to see if I could see the colorful lands that we left behind at Denner's house, and I saw the most horrifying sight behind me. A long trail of blood that was from my back. Then I just realized that I have lost way too much blood.

"Uh... guys..." I called weakly.

When they turned around there was a look of shock on their faces.

"Are you sure you are okay Faria?" Silver asked.

"I don't know, can you see the wound on my back?" I turned around and showed them my back.

"...Well? Is it bad?" I asked.

"..... Uh... Do you want the whole truth? Or do you want me to bend the truth?" Shadow asked.

"Uh... Bend the truth a little..." I answered.

"Okay, it's fine with a few scratches and a bone sticking out," He said.

"WHAT?" I started to freak out but then I felt pain from my back.

"Ack! It hurts really bad...", I said wincing in pain.

"You've lost too much blood, you should rest", Denner said helping me sit by a tree.

"Eh... I guess we could rest for a little bit." Silver said." We have been walking for quite a while".

"I'll be lookout," Shadow suggested.

"I can look for some food", Silver said.

"I'll see if I can make a small shelter", Denner said.

"I guess I'll stay here then," I said. It's not like I can go anywhere though.

I decided to close my eyes for just a minute, and that minute turned into a nap.

I had a dream where there was nothing but darkness all around me. Then a huge light came out of nowhere in front of me. I stared in awe at the light, then a voice called out to me:

"Faria..."

"H...He...Hello?" I answered.

"Hello Faria", a beautiful lady that had the same clothes and details that I had, when I unlocked my power, appeared behind me.

"Hello... Do I know you?" I asked.

"I am Coralina, the rightful queen of the colorful lands", she said." And I have a question to ask you".

"A question?" Now I was starting to wonder what kind of dream this was.

"Yes... Do you miss home so much that you want to go back?" Coaralina asked.

"Yes! Yes! Oh please take me back home!" I said.

"Then go through the light. It is a doorway to your home", Coralina was pointing to the light that I was admiring before.

I was about to go through, but I remembered Silver, Denner, Shadow, and my grandma. They were all counting on me to help them.

"Actually... I want to go back and help my friends", I said.

"This proves that you have a pure heart and that you are the chosen one. You've now unlocked your true potential", Coralina tapped my head and a huge beam of light appeared.

I awoke with a new spirit and all the pain I had was gone. I floated up into the air and once again, there were sparkles. The same transformation process happened with the ears, tail, and dress, but there was one thing different. Coralina appeared!

Chapter 16: New Hope

Denner, Silver, and Shadow came to see what all the noise was about, and when they saw me with Coralina, they were in complete shock.

"Guess this means we don't have to go to Cotton no more", Denner said.

"Oh! Where are my manners! Your majesty." Shadow said bowing.

Silver, Denner and I followed.

"Faria! You don't have to bow to me, you are also royalty", Coralina said.

"Sorry, it's just my first time seeing you... wait... I am also royalty?" I asked confused. "If I'm not going to be queen... then who am I?"

" You are a hero Faria,"Coralina stated. "You have brought me to life and now we are going to defeat my sister and bring peace to this land".

"Well, we aren't going to save anyone by standing around! Where's the castle?" Silver interrupted.

"Don't worry, with my magic growing stronger, I can just teleport us all to the castle", Coralina said.

"Great! But... um... your highness... before you do anything... can you please give me my magic back?" Shadow asked. "I have learned my lesson after I was trapped in the confinement bubble and I really want to help so... can I have my magic back please?"

Coralina thought about it for a moment, then with a whisk of her hand, a mini black bubble of power floated up.

"You have pureness in your heart and I can see that you have really changed. You may have your power back", Coralina blew the bubble towards Shadow and he absorbed it immediately.

"Thank you, your majesty", Shadow did a formal bow.

"Please, just call me Coralina".

"Okay, to the castle!" I said.

Coralina transported us all the way to the castle. Although, it didn't look like a castle fit for a colorful queen. It was drained of its colors making it dim and gray.

"Welp... this is the place",Denner stated staring at the castle.

While I was scaling the castle, I noticed that there wasn't any guards at the front doors. That couldn't be a good sign.

"Um... there aren't any guards...", I said to the others.

"That's because my sister Gregory is expecting us. One of the blight goons must've seen us and reported back to her. All we have to do is walk in and she will be there waiting", Coralina answered.

"Well... Here we go then...", we walk towards the front doors with Coralina ahead of us, and I behind her.

Chapter 17: Encounter

We walked down the halls with anticipation and anxiety. Then we stopped in front of a huge gray throne. On it sat the So-Called-Queen herself.

"Gregory...", Coralina said.

"Oh! Well isn't this a surprise! My dead sister has come to life I see." Gregory said mockingly. "Hmmm... I guess the prophecy was true. Only, who was the one who fulfilled it?"

I walked up in front of Coralina.

"I am!" I boldly said.

"And who are you?" The queen asked.
