Who are Dreamcatcher?

Dreamcatcher (Korean name: 드림개쳐), is a seven member girl group based in South Korea. They were formerly known as Minx. They have a dark, rock concept and are managed by Dreamcatcher Company (formerly Happyface Entertainment). They debuted on January 13, 2017, with the single album Nightmare.

Who are Insomnias?

Insomnia (Korean: 인쏨니아) is the official fandom name established March 10, 2018. It comes from the latin words "In Somnia," which means "In Dreams." It represents how Dreamcatcher and their fans will always be creating happy memories together, even in dreams.

JiU

Birth name: Kim Min-ji (김민지)

Birthday: May 17, 1994

Nightmare: Fear of being chased

JiU is the oldest member, and is the leader of Dreamcatcher. She is also the lead vocalist, lead dancer, and visual. Her english name is Lily. She was on MIXNINE (a survival show), but had to leave early due to schedule. She is very carefree and is a fan of all girl groups and wants to team up with all of them. She nicknamed herself Pink Princess.

SuA

Birth name: Kim Bo-ra (김보라)

Birthday: August 10, 1994

Nightmare: Fear of restraint

Sua is the main dancer, lead rapper, and vocalist of Dreamcatcher. Her english name is Alice. She trained the longest among the members and is able to pick up choreographies really quickly. She likes drawing, watching dramas, and is a cleaning maniac. She's really extra and has a really loud laugh.

Siyeon

Birth name: Lee Si-yeon (이시연)

Birthday: October 1, 1995

Nightmare: Claustrophobia

Siyeon is the main vocalist of Dreamcatcher. Her english name is Monica. She's a big fan of the metal band Warlock. She was on MIXNINE, but left early due to schedule. She doesn't like to exercise and can play the piano. On January 30, 2020 she had a solo debut with the single "Paradise."

Handong

Birth name: Han Dong (韩东)

Birthday: March 26, 1996

Nightmare: Scopophobia

Handong is the sub-vocalist and dancer of Dreamcatcher. Her english name is Della. She is the only forigen member and was originally from Wuhan, China. She is shy and appeared in a musical in high school. She was a contestant on Idol Producer, but was eliminated in episode 16, ranking 56th.

Yoohyeon

Birth name: Kim Yoo-hyeon (김유현)

Birthday: January 7, 1997

Nightmare: Mazeophobia

Yoohyeon is the lead vocalist of Dreamcatcher. Her english name is Rachel. She originally made a debut as a runway model. She is learning Manderin and German. She was on MIXNINE but left early due to schedule. She loves to play video games and likes to watch The Simpsons before sleeping. She is the most forgetful member.

Dami

Birth name: Lee Yoo-bin (이유빈)

Birthday: March 7, 1997

Nightmare: Fear of pain and scars

Dami is the main rapper, lead dancer, and vocalist of Dreamcatcher. Her english name is Emma. She can make bird chirping sounds and loves animals. She was on MIXNINE but left early due to schedule. She likes books and reads anytime she can. Her favorite author is Murakami Haruki.

Gahyeon

Birth name: Lee Ga-hyeon (이기현)

Birthday: Feburary 3, 1999

Nightmare: Fear of falling

Gahyeon is the maknae (youngest) and the vocalist and rapper of Dreamcatcher. Her english name is Lucy. She was an honors student for 3 years and is the best in math among the members. She also studied in the Philippines for a few months. She remembers all the details about the group's schedule.

M I N X

Before there was Dreamcatcher, there was Minx. Minx had a summery cute concept, and consisted of 5 members, JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami. Minx had two releases before going on a year long hiatus. After the hiatus ended, it was revealed that Minx would re-debut with two new members, Handong and Gahyeon.

Why did you come to my home?

우리 집에 왜 왔니? (Why did you come to my home?) was the debut single album by Minx. It was released September 18, 2014.

Love Shake

Love Shake, released July 2, 2015, was the second and final release by Minx. The album contained 6 songs with the title track Love Shake. The title track is a remix of Dal Shabet's (a senior group) Love Shake.

Fall Asleep in the Mirror, released April 5, 2017, is Dreamcatcher's second mini album. It contains 4 songs with the title track Good Night.

Prequel

Prequel, released July 7, 2017, is Dreamcatcher's third mini album. It contains 6 songs with the title track Fly High. It is the second installment in the Nightmare Quartet.

Full Moon

Full Moon, released January 12, 2018, is Dreamcatcher's promotional single to celebrate their first anniversary. The next day it was performed for the first time at their first anniversary fan meeting.

Nightmare - Escape the Era

Nightmare - Escape the Era, released May 10, 2018, is Dreamcatcher's fourth mini album. It contains 6 tracks, with the title track You and I. It is the third installment in the Nightmare Quartet.
