Once upon a time in a far away kingdom there lived a young girl named Cinderella. Cinderella lived with her stepmother and two stepsisters who were very mean to her they made her do all the cooking and all the cleaning and never stopped ordering her around.

One day, a very exciting message arrived.
King Freddie was having a royal ball that evening to find a new Queen, and every eligible lady was to attend.
"Thank God we just went dress shopping for you girls, now hurry up and get ready, we must be ready in a few hours". said Lady Jane.

"Stepmother, I didn't get to go shopping with you, so what am I supposed to wear"? asked Cinderella.
"Oh your not going, you are going to stay home and clean". replied her Stepmother.
"But is says every eligible maiden is to attend". Cinderella reminded her.

"Well, I guess you can go, but you have to do all your chores and you have to help the girls get ready". her Stepmother stated.
"Oh, thank you so much Stepmother". Cinderella said gratefully.

Two hours later, everyone was ready to leave for the ball except Cinderella.
"Mother, are we going to wait for Cinderella, you promised she could go after her chores were done". said Mckenna.

"I added more chores onto Cinderella's list so there is no way she will be done in time". Lady Jane said with a snicker.
"Besides she is way to pretty if the King sees her then we wont stand a chance and we don't want that". added Lady Jane.

Just then they heard their carriage pull up.
"We better get going, we wouldn't want you you girls to miss her chance to meet the king". Lady Jane said.
Ten minutes after they left, Cinderella came down ready to go to the ball, only to find they had already left without her.

"I should have known that they would leave without me. Cinderella thought to herself.
Just then a beautiful fairy appeared.
"Who are you"? asked Cinderella surprised.
"I'm your fairy godmother and I'm here to help you get ready for the ball". replied the fairy.

"Now first things first is you'll need a new dress". Said fairy godmother".
With a wave of her wand she turned Cinderella's dress into a beautiful ball gown and her shoes into glass slippers.
"Oh thank you so much fairy godmother it's beautiful". Cinderella exclaimed.
"Your very welcome but you must be home by midnight cause the magic will be broken and everything will go back to normal". her fairy godmother explained

"I understand fairy godmother but I have a question how am I supposed to get there"? asked Cinderella.
"I have a carriage waiting for you outside now hurry along so your not late". her fairy godmother replied.

Meanwhile, at the ball, King Freddie had danced with every available maiden in the kingdom, but none where to his liking. Just as he was starting to lose hope of ever finding a Queen, Cinderella walked into the room.
"Who is that"? the King said mesmerized.

"Would you honor me with a dance, my lovely lady"? asked the King stunned by her beauty.
"The honor will be mine". said Cinderella.
After they had been dancing for two hours, Cinderella realized that midnight was approaching.
"I have to go"! Cinderella exclaimed suddenly.
"But wait, I don't even know your name, how will I find you"? asked the King in desperation.
But it was too late, Cinderella was already gone, all that remained was a single glass slipper on the front steps of the castle.

"This is my ticket to finding her". he said to himself.
So he called the captain of the guard, and ordered him at first light to go out and have every maiden try on the slipper.
"As you wish, your Majesty". he replied.

The next morning, Lady Jane noticed that Cinderella was in some kind of daze and was humming along to the songs from the ball.
"How do you know those songs"? she asked Cinderella angrily.
"Oh, I heard my stepsisters humming them this morning". she fibbed.

Lady Jane thought that answer to be very suspicious but she just let it go.
Just then, the King's guard showed up and demanded to see all the maidens in the house.
"Lea, Mckenna, come down here". Lady Jane shouted.

"The King has ordered every maiden to try on this slipper so he can find the owner and when he does he intends to ask for her hand in marriage". he explained.
"Ok girls, try on the shoe". said Lady Jane excitedly.
Sadly neither of her daughters fit the slipper.
"Are these the only ladies in the house"? asked the guard.

"Of course, these are my only two daughters". she lied.
"What about Cinderella"? asked Mckenna, letting the cat out of the bag.
"Quiet, it couldn't possibly be her"! exclaimed Lady Jane.
"I must insist she try it on, as the King ordered". he said firmly.
