Unlike his fellow monkeys who feasted on fruits and nuts, Pete had a rather unusual appetite—he devoured books! But he wasn’t just any book-eating monkey; he was notoriously choosy, only indulging in the finest literature.

With his soft, tawny fur and bright, inquisitive eyes, Pete would pounce on a pile of books, carefully inspecting each one before nibbling on its corners. A worn-out hardcover would be flung aside, while a pristine classic was savored like a gourmet meal. His discerning tastes meant that libraries often found their shelves mysteriously emptied, as Pete left a trail of torn pages and discarded novels in his wake, forever in search of the next literary delight. Each book, to him, was a treasure chest to be unlocked, and he wouldn’t settle for anything less than the best!
