Alan was sitting alone in the playground, staring at the swings as they moved gently in the wind. He was always by himself, too shy to talk to the other kids. As he sat on the soft grass, he closed his eyes and made a wish. “I wish I had a plush kitten of my own,” he whispered to himself. He could almost picture the soft little creature in his hands, a friend who would never leave his side.
When Alan opened his eyes, he was startled to see something fall from the sky. A soft blue shape tumbled through the air, landing softly in his outstretched hands. It was a plush kitten, with light blue fur and big, sparkling eyes.
“Hello!” the kitten said in a gentle voice. Alan blinked in surprise, unsure if he had imagined it.
“I’m Suu,” the kitten continued. “You’re the fourth lucky kid to have a plush kitten of your very own!”
Alan’s heart raced with excitement. He had a real, talking plush kitten! "I... I’m Alan," he stammered, holding Suu close. "How did you...?"
Suu smiled and nestled in his arms. "That’s a secret for now, but I’m here to be your friend."
“Are you scared, Alan?” Suu asked, her voice soft and soothing.
Alan nodded, gripping her gently. “I don’t like it. What if it breaks?”
Suu tilted her head and gave him a confident smile. “Alan, I know you’re a little scared, but you’re stronger than you think. You can do it. Be brave, and I’ll be right here with you.”
With Suu’s encouragement, Alan took a deep breath. He held her close in his hands and stepped onto the bridge. At first, his legs wobbled, and he looked down at the creek below, but Suu’s calm voice reassured him. “You’re doing great, Alan. Just keep going.”
