Hamudagu..... The most advanced country on the planet..... It was hidden from the world until evil men stumbled upon it........ This happened in the 1600s and now it is the year of 2018. Everyone in Hamudagu is mourning for the loss of King Anansi. Reader, if you read the first book you'd probably be wondering where is Zadou or King Zadou, well like a regular human he died at around 80. Now his great-great-great-great-great-great (many greats later) grandson is the king. King Mayele. Now King Mayele was a very wise man whom Hamudagu loved a lot. Hamudagu had great relationships with the outside world under his reign.

"What colors should we use for the funeral my king", said a servant of Mayele, "Black, because it symbolizes death and white because it symbolizes being reborn and new life", responded King Mayele. "Wise choice my king", replied the servant and then the servant walked away. Now King Anansi was a spider so he was unlike other humans, he lived for thousands of years and although he stopped being king and gave the mantle to Zadou, he was still respected and treated like a king. "Baba, baba!", yelled Matumaini who was King Mayele's 9 year old son. "Habari boni, son?", replied Mayele, now reader the Hamudagu language is made up of many African languages like Lingala and Swahili and 'Habari Boni'
means 'how are you' in Hamudagu's language. "Shikamoo Baba, mother told me to tell you that you have a United Nations meeting in 2 weeks in New York about possible economic development that Hamudagu could offer the outside world and I was wondering if I could come, please dad, tafadhali." "Nkosi son, I will think about if you can come, now run along and get ready for Anansi's funeral" said King Mayele, "Ok baba, goodbye."

....Somewhere in France: "Ehh, Gerard, the king of Hamudagu will be in the United States in 2 weeks", said a French man, "Good, surely he will come with 'the wand' so I can steal it, then Hamudagu will finally pay for what they did to Francois", replied the so-called Gerard. Now reader Olorun the sky god heard what Gerard was talking about and he called a council with the gods

"Orunmila, Oba, Ibeji, everyone come here", thundered Olorun, "What is it my king?",asked Orunmila, the god of wisdom, "Remember Obatala's wand we gave to the people of Hamudagu", said Olorun, "Yes, I remember, it was a gift along with our blessings to them because the other nations of the world were acting savage and evil and Hamudagu was not", answered Ibeji the twin gods of youth and joy, "Yes and Obatala, our creator said before he 'rested' that if others got ahold of the wand it would free Aganju, god of volcanoes and so on from his imprisonment", chimed Oba, goddess of marriage and family life. "Correct and Gerard and his men are planning to unleash Aganju, our brother from prison", said Olorun looking worried, "So what", boasted
Ogun god of iron, labor and technology, "We are gods, we can squash those puny men", "It won't be easy, because Eshu and Shango have joined their side" answered Orunmila. And in the corner, listening to the whole conversation was Eshu, the trickster god and messenger of humans, he smirked at the others and disappeared.

......"Anansi was a good king, he did many good for Hamudagu, he was a king who could do the impossible and would give his life for Hamudagu. Now on this day we remember Anansi who died of old age, today is not a day to mourn his loss, but to celebrate the life of Hamudagu's greatest king", proclaimed King Mayele and everyone cheered. Reader there is something that needs to be discussed, when Anansi died, Eshu the trickster god knew that Anansi could not save anyone from his evil pranks so he took the voices of Hamudagu's talking animals. If you remember Hamudagu had talking animals but now there animals were regular non- talking animals. Anyway when Mayele's speech ended Eshu and Shango appeared and everyone started running and
screaming, "Baba", yelled Matumaini or Matu for short, "Matu, get out of here", demanded Mayele and took out Obatala's wand. Instead of going away Matu hid behind the throne. "Well, well, well", said Eshu, "I see you are guarding the wand." "You will never free Aganju because I have have the power of Obatala", said Mayele, "So what", replied Shango and blasted Mayele with a fire ball.

"Noooo", yelled Matu, "Well, what do we have here", said Eshu smirking, "That is my son", thundered Mayele and underneath the smoke stood King Mayele protected by a force field, "And now you will pay" continued Mayele and he pointed the wand at Shango and Eshu and a lightining bolt struck them. "Now son, get out of here!", shouted Mayele and Matu ran as fast as he could. The 2 gods and Mayele were in a hotly duel but then Shango gained the upper hand by deflecting an energy shot from Mayele that bounced of Shango and hit Mayele in the chest.

Oww, you will never get away with this!
And with those words, Mayele made himself disappear, "Ugh, we will get the wand next time", said Shango, "And we will do it my way", smirked Eshu, "With a prank."
Meanwhile Matu ran and ran and became lost in the forest, he then started crying, "Why do you cry", said a soft milky voice, and out of the tree came Osanyin, the god of the forest.

"My father, he was being attacked by Shango and Eshu" said Matu, "And so what, your father has the wand of Obatala, he is capable of holding those 2 off", said Osanyin, "What is the wand of Obatala?", asked Matu, "Well, it was used by Obatala to create everything, he created the Earth and the orishas or gods like me, when he got tired he gave the wand to Olorun who became king and Obatala went to rest for a long time, then Olorun gave it to Hamudagu for being such a peaceful nation. The prophecy states that when Aganju rises someone will have to go search for Obatala to bring back peace to this world", said Osanyin, "And I think that person is you", and with a flick of a wrist Osanyin and
Matu disappeared.

In the royal kitchen of Hamudagu's palace was the wife of Mayele and queen of Hamudagu: Aina, "Mayele, the chief of Hamudagu's technology requests a meeting with us the day before we leave for New York." "Nkosi(thanks in Hamudagu) wife, the funeral was a disaster, Shango and Eshu appeared and Matu is lost", sobbed the mighty King of Hamudagu. "No, not Matu, we have to find him, we can call on Oxosi to find him", said Aina, "No Oxosi always demands something huge in other to find something, there has to be another way", said Mayele, "Well, find one or else we have to ask Oxosi", said Aina a little frustrated and then Mayele smirked and knew what he had to do.
Now reader we go back to Paris where Gerard is plotting. "Gerard, we did not get the wand of Obatala", said Shango, "Oh, well soon we will get it, I bought tickets for us to New York so you guys better change into human form", replied Gerard, "Then we will make the gods, I mean Hamudagu pay", thundered Eshu and they went of to the nearest airport for their flight to New York City, NY.

Gerard
Eshu
Shango
Meanwhile......
"Olorun, Olorun, this is the one", shouted Osanyin in the throne room of the orishas or gods, "Don't disturb him Osanyin, we are devising a plan to stop Eshu and Shango", said Orunmila, "But Orunmila this is the- "OWWWWW, I can't see", interrupted Matu, "Oh sorry my child", said Orunmila and all the god's were in human form, "Regular mortals can't see a god's true form or they burn unlike Gerard who was blessed by Eshu to see our regular form." "Anyway", started Osanyin, "This is the one who can stop Aganju!", and with those words all the orishas turned toward the god of the forests and the room fell silent. Then Olorun spoke

Do you really think this mortal can awake Obatala and destroy Aganju?

The trees whispered it to me
....."They said that Matumaini would be able to defeat Aganju", continued Osanyin, "Orunmila, god of wisdom and foreseeing the future, is this true?", asked Olorun. Orunmila closes his eyes and then opens them and speaks, "Matu will need training and once Aganju is free, unless we stop Gerard and the others, Matumaini will have to endure a difficult journey to find Yemoja, the wife of Aganju who knows the location of Obatala" chanted Orunmila, "Wait, I never asked for this, to end up here, to defeat Aganju, I asked for none of this", said Matu and then he started to cry, "I miss my family, I miss Hamudagu." "Don't cry child, you have great potential and if Aganju is freed and no one stops him then there
will be no family or Hamudagu at all", said the tender voice of Oba, goddess of families and marriage, "Don't worry, we will help you along the journey as well", added Orunmila, "Ya, plus you will definitely need my strength", boasted Ogun, "You have a big destiny to fulfill child", said Ori, god of destiny and spiritual intuition, "Thanks guys, now let the training begin", said Matumaini, Prince of Hamudagu, "After all we can't awaken Obatala by just sitting here."

*chant chant* "Oh great Oxosi, god of hunting, scouting, and searching, show yourself!", chanted King Mayele and right there in front of him was the blazing form of Oxosi. "Ow, human form please." "Very well mortal", said Oxosi, "Now what is it that you need?" "I need you to find my son, Matumaini", said Mayele, "Ah, finding a human, that will cost you.......", thought Oxosi, "A stick from the thickest tree in the Sahara desert." "Why do you always ask for such odd things?", asked Mayele, "Anyway, haven't you heard that Olorun told you to give me a favor", lied the King, "Why you mortal are no Eshu so don't try to trick me", thundered Oxosi. "What would Eshu do", said Mayele mischievously. "He would trick me into saying an oath so I do what he wants me to do"
,said Oxosi.
